Wendy’s, a popular American fast-food restaurant, recently announced that it will offer free French fries every Friday for the rest of 2024.

The decision comes as Wendy’s celebrates FRYday on Friday, April 19, the first of many to come. Customers will only sign up for the Wendy’s App to receive their free serving of French fries.

Wendy’s is a popular fast-food restaurant across the country for many reasons. The most notable is that their meat is always fresh and never frozen.

In early April, USA Today reported that Wendy’s planned to reward loyal customers by offering a free any-size portion of French fries every Friday for the rest of the year.

Customers can order their own free portion of French fries through the Wendy’s app.

Customers must first log into the Wendy’s app. Those who do not have an account can easily create one at Wendys.com.

Once an account has been created, the next step is straightforward. Every Friday, an offer will show on the screen, allowing the user to order a free order of French fries.

According to the fast food restaurant, everyone should “Kick off the weekend with a Hot & Crispy treat each week at Wendy’s!”

In a press release for the upcoming promotion, Wendy’s alludes to the release of Taylor Swift’s album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

“Wendy’s knows all too well that some of those other guys’ cold, soggy fries just won’t cut it, but Wendy’s has your back with a new meaning to TGIF,” they wrote.

The offer can be made through the app or in-store as long as it is loaded onto your credit or debit card before payment.

According to the fast food restaurant, no minimum purchase is required to receive the free plate of fries.

Wendy’s has been heavily promoting its offer over the last few weeks, claiming it’s for customers.

“Fans deserve a pick-me-up after a long week, and Wendy’s is answering the call with fries that deliver,” according to The New York Post.

In their press release, Wendy’s claims that their fries can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. It can be served with their renowned bacon or dipped in a frosty.

“Whether dipping in a Frosty, on the side of a Baconator made with fresh, never frozen beef***, or solo with an ice-cold Dave’s Craft Lemonade, Wendy’s Hot & Crispy Fries always deliver a perfect bite. Make April 19 the best FRYday EVER,” they wrote.

The week before the free French fries deal began, Wendy’s had another promotion called “Dave’s Daily Dollar Deals.”

Each day, customers could choose an item for $1 as an additional purchase for each order during the week.

Wendy’s “FRYday” promotion comes less than a month after introducing their new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty.

It was inspired by the classic popsicle, which many people remember from their childhood. It launched on March 19, temporarily replacing the famous Vanilla Frosty.

According to Wendy’s, the seasonal orange treat combines Vanilla Frosty with classic orange tones to produce the “dreamy orange cream experience.”

The chain wrote in a news release, “The eye-catching orange color of this delectable treat was inspired by the spring season, and it tastes just as good as it looks.”
