As a retired wrestler, Terry Gene Bollea (ring name Hulk Hogan) is often remembered for his record-breaking WCW World Heavyweight Championship victories. Now, he’ll also be known as a hero for saving the life of a teenage girl after an auto accident in Florida.
According to the former wrestler’s social media posts, the car carrying the teen overturned and trapped her. Luckily, he and his friend were at the crash site at the right time to prevent things from worsening.
Hogan revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he punctured the vehicle’s airbag with a ballpoint pen to free the 17-year-old. “The crazy part about the teenager that flipped her car was that without a knife to puncture the airbags to get her out, a Indian Rocks Christian ballpoint pen came in really handy to pot the bags,” he wrote. This happened on the night of Sunday, January 15.
Sky Daily, a yoga instructor and Hogan’s new wife praised her husband for his heroic deeds. She also praised their friend, Jake Rask, for taking quick action.

“Last night, after we left dinner in Tampa, we saw a car flip in front of us! I truly admire my husband @hulkhogan and our good buddy @jakerask for springing into action, puncturing the girl’s airbag, and getting her quickly out of the car,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “By all appearances, she was unscathed, just really rattled, which is an absolute miracle!” Daily concluded.
The Tampa Police Department revealed no major injuries in the crash. They also confirmed that the crash happened on the Veterans Expressway by exit 2A towards Clearwater. The cause of the accident remains unknown as investigations are still ongoing. “Thank you God, all is well even now,” Hogan, who lives in the Tampa Bay area, wrote.

TMZ revealed that they asked Rask about the act of being a real-life superhero alongside the legendary Hulk Hogan. He responded, “Ha… we’re just glad she’s OK and God put us there at the right time.”
Many of the commenters on Hogan’s X post were grateful that he put his expertise as a wrestler to save the teen’s life. “Nicely done, Mr Hogan. You truly are a man of action,” someone wrote. Another said, “God had you at the right place and right time.” “I’ve seen you flip cars many times on VHS. I’m not surprised. Great work Hulk,” a third person wrote.

Another group of commenters was just awestruck by the odds of the iconic ex-wrestler coming to save them in a crash. One of them wrote, “Imagine Hulk is saving from the car! that’s insane, Dude!” “Imagine getting rescued by the Hulkster! So rad. God Bless you!” someone else typed.
While we admire Hulk Hogan for his bravery, we’re most impressed by his level-headedness and quick thinking. These are two essential qualities for managing stressful situations. Also, Hogan’s ability to improvise with a ballpoint pen and deflate the airbag that trapped the teen highlights the importance of critical thinking in emergencies.
