HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is famous for pushing the boundaries of comedy. The show often discusses controversial topics with Larry David’s signature mockery style. However, the latest episode of the series has sparked outrage from Representative Taylor Greene.
The congresswoman, representing Georgia’s 14th congressional district, blasted the show’s creators for what she perceived as offensive content. In the episode “Social Justice Warrior,” the show’s protagonist, Larry David, was in a series of comedic misadventures. His misadventures were centered around issues of political correctness and social activism.
The episode tackled topics like cancel culture, identity politics, and the challenges of navigating modern social norms. However, Greene had an issue with how certain characters were portrayed and how the show handled sensitive topics.
The show took a comedic jab at Georgia’s voting laws enacted in 2021 under Republican governance. In a statement released on her official social media accounts, Greene accused “Curb Your Enthusiasm” of promoting left-wing propaganda and mocking conservative values.

“I watched this week’s episode of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ and it was a glaring reminder of why most Georgians resent Republicans in our state for inviting the nasty commies from California, the Hollywood elites, into our state by dishing out Hollywood tax credits,” Greene wrote in a lengthy post on X formerly known as Twitter.
“This week’s episode lied and painted GA conservatives and Trump supporters as racists and rednecks and made fun of our good new law that stops the Stacey Abrams vote pandering machine and prevents voter fraud,” she continued.

In the episode “The Lawn Jockey,” Larry David stops at a polling station and is shocked to discover voters waiting in the heat just to cast their ballots. “That is just insane. Look what they put people through to vote!” he reacted before bringing out water bottles for those in line. Police officers immediately showed up to arrest David for “violating the Election Integrity Act.”
Larry David was subsequently locked up after being arrested for providing water to those waiting in line to vote. Upon his release, Larry David unexpectedly became hailed as a liberal hero, earning praise from prominent figures such as Stacey Abrams and Bruce Springsteen.

The episode slammed the injustice surrounding voting rights, especially regarding Georgia’s Election Integrity Act, signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp in 2021. Under the law, it was prohibited to distribute food or water to voters while they waited to cast votes in the Peach State.
“The latest episode of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ is yet another example of Hollywood’s blatant bias against conservatives,” Greene said. “The show’s creators seem intent on pushing a liberal agenda while mocking anyone who dares to challenge their narrative.”
“We in Georgia are fed up with disgusting Hollywood and their disgusting values and elite [judgment] in our state that is trying to turn GA blue!” Greene added before concluding, “Take it from me, as I fight against Democrats in Washington and their radical, evil, and American last policies, I can tell you firsthand that we in Georgia need to stop and do more to PROTECT GEORGIA!!”
