Suge Knight is currently serving a 28 years prison sentence. During the period spanning from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, Knight served a prison sentence for convictions related to assault and violations of probation. He had been placed on probation following his assault of two rappers at a Hollywood recording studio in 1992.
In 2015, Knight crashed his car into two men, one of whom was Terry Carter his friend, killing him and injuring the other. Witnesses claimed that the incident may have been intentional following an argument they had on a film set.
In 2018, Knight pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 28 years in prison for the hit-and-run charge, as well as previous violations of probation. He is currently serving his sentence at the RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.
