Tragedy stuck in Suffolk, Virginia, when a 17-year-old boy was found dead in his home from a gunshot wound. However, in a recent development, his mother has come out to drop her opinion about the issue.
17-year-old Raleigh Freeman III is a rapper popularly known as Rylo Huncho. He was found dead on Sunday, May 16, 2024, from a gunshot wound. According to police reports, the following Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the injury was self-inflicted.
The report also stated that while the police haven’t officially identified the teenager’s body, his family has. His mother said she only wants him back, saying how much she misses her baby.
According to reports, moments before Freeman III’s death, he posted a video of himself with a gun. In the video, he appeared singing with a gun before he turned it on himself and pulled the trigger. It was seen that during the course of filming, he had taken the gun from its original safety position.

The video ends with a gunshot noise, as his body is captured hitting the floor, which in turn causes the camera to fall. There have been questions about the authenticity of the video, with some people disputing his death. However, authorities discovered that the video circulating on social media was from his livestream.
Following the tragedy, Freeman III’s mother said she was not aware that he had a gun in his possession. She said she came home to see him covered in his blood and tried to save him from dying. Also, she complimented her son, claiming he had made some good songs and referred to him as a good rapper.

Shortly after his death, his maternal uncle created a GoFundMe account for his mother to offer financial support during this difficult time. As of Thursday, May 23, 2024, about six thousand dollars had been gathered on the account. The organizer had informed donors and the audience that he was an only child.
He also referred to her as a single mother, and although it was difficult, she took the best care of him. On Friday, May 24, 2024, his funeral took place, as stated in his obituary.

The police are still searching his phone as they are investigating what happened and where he got the gun, per his mother’s statement. This continues to highlight the ever-growing concern regarding gun violence in America.
As of April 28, 2024, as many as 27,000 people have died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Others live in fear of when they will be reduced to mere statistics as a result of gun violence.
