Cameron Diaz is coming to a screen near you soon! The Charlie’s Angels actress is making her grand return to the acting world in 2024, and fans cannot wait to see her. Although her first comeback movie will be Netflix’s “Back in Action,” she is also in talks to feature in a new dark comedy film.
Apple Original Films announced on February 5 that Diaz is in final negotiations to appear in the movie “Outcome.” She is set to act alongside Keanu Reeves and Jonah Hill. According to reports, “Outcome” is a dark comedy that Hill co-wrote and would also direct.
Ezra Woods is Hill’s co-writer for this movie. The synopsis describes a man named Reef (Reeves) as “a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.”
This movie marks Reeves and Diaz’s second film together. Their first was the 1996 movie “Feeling Minnesota.” It was also a comedy movie about a pair of lovers who run away together after meeting at Diaz’s character’s wedding to Reeves’ character’s brother.

This is also not Hill’s first directorial work. He made his debut in 2019 with “Mid90s.” He also released a documentary titled “Stutz” in 2022. The movie will also be Hill’s first project since he co-wrote and starred in 2023’s You People.
Diaz’s much-anticipated return comes after her long hiatus, which started after her role as Miss Hannigan in 2014’s Annie. The award-winning actress took a break from acting to focus on her family with Benji Madden and their daughter Raddix.
Her daughter is now 4 years old. Furthermore, she started her Avaline wine company while on her hiatus. As one of the most successful women in Hollywood, many people have been anticipating her return for several years.

The “Bad Teacher” actress’ first movie after her hiatus will be the Netflix action-comedy “Back in Action.” She stars alongside multi-award-winning actor Jamie Foxx. The pair have been filming since last year but had to take a break because of Foxx’s medical emergency.
Therefore, they paused filming for a while. In June 2023, a source told PEOPLE that “Back in Action” ‘s shooting schedule “was intense and pretty grueling,” adding at the time that Diaz “was glad when they wrapped.” However, the pair were spotted earlier in January shooting more scenes in Atlanta.

People are pretty excited to see Diaz’s return as Netflix teases on February 1 that they will release the movie in 2024. In addition, fans are eager to see Foxx in his first movie appearance since his medical scare. On the other hand, “Outcome” does not yet have a release date.
