Authorities Confirm 23 Dead and Several Without Power as Apocalyptic Storm Hits US Homes

As the world’s weather patterns become increasingly unpredictable, so too does the damage they leave behind. According to weather reports, a large and severe storm, accompanied by tornadoes, has left substantial parts of the country in ruins.

Across the weather tracking system, there is a massive array of storms that appear to be moving southeast in Texas. Experts forecast that the following cities are in danger from the storm, Lewisville, Carrollton, McKinney, Plano, Garland, Irving, and Dallas.

The storms moved at 80 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service office in Dallas. They also predicted the possibility of a very massive hail storm. Taking to the social media platform, they issued a warning to all residents across Texas, specifically in Sunnyvale.

On Saturday, May 25, 2024, the storm that had been building up finally swept southern and central America. The incident happened during the weekend leading up to Monday, May 27, 2024. On Sunday, May 26, 2024, the country recorded its most powerful storm of 2024. The storm resulted in the deaths of 23 individuals. The death toll came from affected areas in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

One of the areas affected by the storm was a local area near Cooke County in Texas, which accommodated mobile homes. Among the deaths were three members of the same family, including two children, ages two and five. Two other children, the total number of deaths that occurred.

Following catastrophic weather that affected the state, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that a third of the counties were under a disaster designation.

However, the storm caused further damage as it caused a power outage that left over 400,000 people without electricity. The outage, which was reported on May 28, 2024, was recorded to have affected a total of 7 states.

Reports show that the storm is expected to hit the northeastern part of the country on the evening of Monday, May 27, 2024, which also includes New York.  On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, further warnings were issued to Texas residents as they braced for the storm.

On Saturday, May 25, 2024, two women who reside in Valley View, Texas, were in a car driving when they rolled into a tornado. The two women, Valenia Gill and Brenda Proctor Dance had gone out for a show earlier that evening.

According to their statement, they first noticed the rain before it became more violent as the wind rammed the car from all sides. While they were panicking about the tornado, their car began to feel the impact of hail as it fell on the automobile.

In the video posted at the storm’s outset, Gill asked Dance what action they could take to counteract it. The video they uploaded showed the automobile shaking heavily.

Additionally, government forecasts have indicated that the summer of 2024, which starts in July 2024, may be an exceptional season for Atlantic hurricanes.
