A popular conservative conspiracy theorist is facing a ton of backlash following his recent outburst of emotions. Following a court verdict, the popular conspiracy theorist is now in a financial crisis and has taken to social media to voice his concerns.
In December 2023, Jones was mandated to pay half of any income over $9 million he made annually. In response to the legal fees, he had taken to his media outlet, InfoWars, to complain about his situation. Jones said it was not his intention to be dramatic but it has been a difficult time.
Taking to social media, people have begun to voice out their opinions about Jones crying on his radio show. A user had commented that seeing Jones cry was funny. In the video, Jones spoke about how “they hate our children” a statement that didn’t sit right with the critics.
In response to the statement, a critic had inquired what he meant by the statement because Jones had previously denied the deaths of real children. Another user called him a snowflake before advising him not to cause emotional distress to grieving families.

Others used the chance to talk about the shooting victims and the emotional distress Jones’ theories caused the victim’s families. In 2023, during his court testimony in Texas, Jones admitted that he had made a mistake before claiming that the shooting did happen.
On December 14, 2012, the Sandy Hook Elementary School was involved in a mass school shooting that happened in Newtown, Connecticut. The perpetrator, Adam Lanza had shot up the elementary resulting in the death of 26 people and injury of another two people. The victims of the shooting include 20 school children between the ages of 6-7 years and 6 staff members.

After the incident, Jones had taken to his media site, Infowars, describing the incident as a government conspiracy. Jones claimed that not only did the incident not happen, but the parents were paid actors in a government hoax to get people to support gun control. Subsequently, the family of the victims sued him for defamation.
In 2022, juries in Connecticut and Texas found him guilty of defamation, before awarding the victim’s families $1.5 billion in damages. Jones has since then filed for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy to pay for his legal fees.
On Thursday, June 6, 2024, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones tried to generate income by selling his personal properties. This effort might include the sale of Infowars, a media outlet he had created in 1999. Jones used the media company to spread his conspiracy theories which generated income in millions of dollars.

Nonetheless, The legal action paves the way for a court-appointed trustee to sell off Jones’ personal belongings, including his Infowars investment, regardless of how that lawsuit turns out.
The sale of Jones’ holdings does not indicate that Infowars will go out of business. There are several conceivable results. For example, the court-appointed trustee may sell the company to a different owner.
