As the November elections get nearer, most voters are still unsure who to vote for. For many, President Joe Biden, who is seeking reelection, is not so different from Trump, the Republican presidential candidate. As a result, most voters remain conflicted about who to vote for. For Cardi B, the Biden administration betrayed her trust.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, renowned rapper Cardi B discussed the country’s political situation. Noting that she voted for Biden in the 2020 election, Cardi B said she has felt “layers and layers of disappointment” since he became president.
Born Belcalis Almánzar, Cardi B is famous for constantly voicing her opinion on political and social issues. While speaking with Rolling Stone, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper said she feels betrayed by the Biden administration’s policies. She expressed her disappointment at the skyrocketing cost of living in the country.
“I feel like people got betrayed,” Cardi B said during the interview. Furthermore, she noted that it felt like the administration didn’t care about the citizens amid the harsh economic conditions. “It’s just like, da*n, y’all not caring about anybody.”

While speaking to the music publication, Cardi B noted that the Biden administration has been turning a deaf ear to the plight of citizens. “There’s a solution,” she said, noting that the government spends billions of taxpayers’ dollars on things that do not benefit the citizens.
She was reluctant to speak about the Israel-Hamas war for fear of being blackballed. However, Cardi B cited the billions of dollars the US Congress sent to fund countries fighting “endless wars.” The Grammy award-winning rapper further noted that the US doesn’t support countries it won’t benefit from.

The “WAP” rapper added that several countries are struggling with genocide and other problems. However, she emphasized that “because the US won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help.” Comparing the US to superheroes, Cardi B said she hates the fact that the country runs to the rescue of other countries.
“We never did things to be superheroes,” she noted. “We did things for our convenience.” As earlier stated, Cardi B was a staunch supporter of the Biden administration in 2020. The outspoken rapper said she woke early to vote for Biden in 2020. Notably, she supported Sen. Bernie Sanders in the then-Democratic presidential primary election.
However, she moved to support Biden when Sanders dropped out of the 2020 presidential race. “I’m just gonna go with Joe Biden,” the rapper said then, noting that she didn’t see “number 45,” Trump, running the next step of America. Nearly four years later, Cardi B has had a change of heart.

The renowned rapper declared that she will not vote in the November election. Cardi B criticized Biden for sending billions of taxpayers’ dollars to fund wars amid the economic downturn in most states nationwide. She cited the New York City budget cuts, saying they could have used the money elsewhere in the country.
As the elections draw near, Cardi B remains steadfast in her plan to not vote for either Biden or Trump. Like most voters, Cardi B isn’t sure one is a lesser evil than the other. Hence, she has repeatedly clarified that she isn’t voting for any of the presidential candidates. “I don’t f*ck with either one,” she said.
