Who Is Jane Sasso? A Look at the Life and Career of Alec Baldwin’s Sister

The Baldwin family is a dynasty in the world of entertainment. The family is one of the most well-known families in Hollywood. The Baldwin brothers have collaborated on so many projects.

But while the brothers drive the fame, many are unaware of the two sisters that also bear the name. One of those sisters is Jane Sasso, born Jane Anne Baldwin.

Jane Sasso’s Early Life and Background

Like her brothers, Jane Sasso was born in Amityville, New York, on January 8, 1965. She was an actress before she transitioned to become a physical therapist. Even though she isn’t an actress anymore, she’s still pretty famous due to her ties to the family.

She is mainly known for her role on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.” Jane Sasso’s parents are Carol M. Baldwin and Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr., Her mother, Carol Baldwin, died at 92 following a struggle with breast cancer.

Jane’s mother founded the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund after her battle with Breast Cancer. Jane’s late father, on the other hand, is known as Alexander Baldwin. He died on April 15, 1983, and was a descendant of the Richard Baldwin family of England. 

Though Jane is noted for being a member of the famous Baldwin family, she is not as well-known as her siblings, Stephen Baldwin, Alec Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin, and William Baldwin, famous Hollywood actors, producers, and directors. She has, however, led a comfortable life away from the public’s eye.

Jane Sasso’s Professional Career

When you hear Alec Baldwin, you immediately think of his charismatic presence and remarkable acting career. As mentioned, while Jane may not be as widely recognized as her famous brothers, she also made her mark in the entertainment industry.

Jane Sasso’s journey began in the bustling city of Amityville, New York. Raised in a creative household, their parents instilled a love for the arts in their children from an early age. Today, the siblings have a strong bond among themselves.

Their bond would later manifest in their shared passion for the entertainment industry, at least for a season. Jane tried acting but didn’t particularly enjoy an extensive acting career. She hasn’t pursued any other acting endeavors since making her first appearance in 2001 on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.”

Instead, she pursued a medical career as a physical therapist in Syracuse, New York. She specializes in lowering pain and boosting movement in her patients. Jane has been working in the health sector since 2009. Currently, she works at Bellevue Manor in Syracuse, New York.

Although Jane isn’t much into the media like her brothers, she is doing great in her career. With over a decade of experience, Jane lives a fulfilling personal life. Also, Jane has a warm and down-to-earth personality.

Her life is also mostly kept secret, and one of the known facts is that she is married to Randy Sasso. Their marriage date is unknown to the public, but they appear to have been together for many years. Jane has two children, Griffin and Grainger. 

Jane Sasso and Her Brothers

Jane’s brothers are prominent in the entertainment world. Her older brother Alec Baldwin is by far the most famous. He gained prominence after appearing in the sixth and seventh seasons of the soap opera “Knots Landing.”

The legendary actor has been on the screen for several decades. He has won numerous accolades, including two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Her other brother William is the second-youngest Baldwin male and an actor. He has acting credits in “Fair Game,” “Backdraft,” “Backdraft 2,” and “Northern Rescue.” Stephen Baldwin is an actor, producer, and director. He appeared in “Born on the Fourth of July” and “8 Seconds.”

The last, but not the youngest Baldwin brother, Daniel, is an actor with acting credits in “Vampires,” “Hope Lost,” and “Death Kiss.” He battled drug addiction for a long time but got clean and sober for over a decade.

Looking ahead, Jane Sasso has an exciting future in the health industry, and if she decides to have a stint again in the world of entertainment, there is no doubt she will do great.
