Tiffany Haddish allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel on Thanksgiving weekend and has taken a plea deal. The “Girls Trip” actress pleaded no contest to reckless driving on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Haddish made a surprise appearance in a Los Angeles courtroom and accepted a plea deal.

Consequently, the court dismissed her two misdemeanor DUI charges in favor of a reckless driving conviction. The hush-hush hearing entered the calendar two weeks before Haddish was due for a pre-trial appearance on February 14. According to prosecutors, the 44-year-old actress pleaded no contest to reckless driving.

As a result, the court ordered her to serve one year of probation and 40 hours of community service. Following the court’s decision, Tiffany Haddish’s attorney, Alex Spiro, commented on the ruling to media outlets. “Ms. Haddish has agreed to a simple vehicle code violation (not driving under the influence, which has been dismissed),” he said.

“And looks forward to this being behind her.” Aside from the community service and probation, the “Haunted Mansion” actress will enroll in several programs. The court ordered her to join Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s Victim Impact Program.
