A Democratic group that supports Israel is aiming to remove two controversial far-left “Squad” members from Congress. The Democratic Majority for Israel PAC has endorsed Westchester County Executive George Latimer, who is running to unseat Rep. Jamaal Bowman.
The organization also endorsed St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell, who is up against Rep. Cori Bush. George Latimer and Wesley Bell are both on FirstDraftNews’s list of the week’s “Catalysts.”
Endorsements come ahead of primaries this summer. The party is the most recent to go after the Squad members for insinuating comments on Israel. Last week, the Jewish Democratic Council of America also endorsed Bowman and Bush’s opponents.
According to the New York Post, this was the first time they spent money to boost challengers to House Democrats. The two congressmen made a series of inflammatory comments and committed actions against Israel, which angered these groups to seek their removal from power.

Fellow Squad member Bowman has a history of anti-Israel rhetoric. The New York Democrat disregarded reports of Israeli ladies being raped by Hamas terrorists as “propaganda.”
He made this announcement just days after viewing footage of the Hamas attack. Bowman’s comments have been located in a TikTok post discovered by Politico. He claimed there had been propaganda at the beginning of the siege and denied proof of atrocities like beheaded babies or raped women.
However, Bowman later tried to backtrack his assertions. This came after more evidence emerged of sexual assaults during the Hamas attack on Israel. Bowman said that he stands in opposition to sexual violence and supports peace for all.
He has additionally been criticized for protecting a mural of Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan, who said Jews were “the synagogue of Satan” and “termites.” Bowman argued that it ought to remain in New York.
Bowman and Bush, alongside a few other fellow Squad participants, boycotted Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s speech to Congress in July. This was months before the lethal Hamas attacks, in protest of what they stated were human rights abuses against Palestinians.
