A young boy broke the silence with a smart response to his teacher’s confusing question following an earth science lesson.

There is always more than one way around every tough situation. A young boy proved this when he gave an outstanding reply to his teacher’s question in a class of clueless students.

The earth science teacher loaded the students with bouts of lectures on map reading. Most of his lessons centered on longitude, latitude, minutes, degrees, and the Greenwich Meridian.

The students’ attentive demeanor impressed the teacher, who mistook their show of interest for understanding. Pleased with himself, the instructor carried on with his lectures gallantly.

Following the lectures, the teacher decided to throw out a practical question to the attentive class, as a test of how much they understood the lessons. He asked:

“So suppose I ask you to meet me for lunch at 23 degrees, 4 minutes north latitude and 45 degrees, 15 minutes east latitude? What would happen?”

Everyone stared blankly at the teacher, clueless about his question. After a long silence, one of the students raised his hand, indicating his intention to answer.

At the teacher’s prompt, the boy gave his logical response saying:

“Um, I guess you’d be eating alone, sir.”

That threw the entire class off, sending them into a feat of laughter, except the teacher, who was at the receiving end.

Boy Tells His Father About His New Role

A man stopped by the school to pick up his little boy at the end of the school day. He listened as the young lad enthusiastically explained his new acting role for a school play to his father.

One afternoon, a man drove to the school to pick up his son at the end of the school day. As the young lad rushed to meet him, the father remembered the drama teacher was supposed to allocate roles for the school play that day.

As father and son made their way back to the car, the man decided to ask the tot if he managed to land a part in the play. The excited boy replied in the affirmative saying:

“Yes. I play a man who’s been married for twenty years.”

The man patted his son on the shoulder encouragingly and said:

“Oh wow, that’s great, son. Keep up the good work and before you know it they’ll be giving you a speaking part.”
