The “Not Another Teen Movie” alum Joanna Garcia and her baseball star husband waited for two years before becoming parents. The couple creatively dominated their roles as parents and could not have been happier with their two beautiful growing children: Meet them.
BECOMING A MOTHER TO EMERSON JAY AND SAILOR STEVIE
The couple wedded in 2010 and announced their pregnancy in 2012. The following year, they welcomed their firstborn, Emerson Jay.
Emerson’s birth put Swisher in a protective mood, as his wife explained that he already imagined her dating. On the other hand, Garcia took motherhood seriously and was a bit hard on herself with the rules and routines, trying to make everything pitch-perfect.
She confessed that:
“When I first had Emme, I was so focused on doing everything “right” or “by the book” that I forgot to listen to my guts and have confidence in that.”
Thankfully, she learned from this experience, and by the time she had her second child, Sailor Stevie, in 2016, the actress was familiar with the process of being a mother, which included caring for both mother and child.
Despite being second-time parents, the couple was super excited to share news of Sailor’s birth, explaining in their shared posts that she makes their family complete.
In an interview, the couple added that Emerson braced up to the occasion as a big sis when she met the baby, adding that they are excited about their daughters’ future.
So far, Garcia and her husband have enjoyed every moment with their girls. The mother of two often shares a handful of fun-filled family moments with them, and while fans are not blind to the bond, they also notice that the kids look like their mommy.
