Huffington Post reporter Jen Bendery did the confronting, and Senator Ted Cruz was her target. The encounter unfolded on Capitol Hill Tuesday as Cruz ranted about President Joe Biden’s picks for the federal judicial bench.
An online post about the confrontation shows Bendery telling the senator that many of Donald Trump’s nominees were unfit for the post.
In response, Cruz’s statement read, “Actually (sic), the caliber of judges that Trump nominated was exceptional.” Citing the American Bar Association, Bendery said about 10 of Trump’s candidates were simply unacceptable.
Steven Grasz is one of those people who is allegedly unqualified. He “earned an embarrassing and unanimous ‘not qualified’ rating for being ‘unable to separate his role as an advocate from that of a judge.'”

Bendery mentioned Jonathan Kobes, 44, who she says “earned a ‘not qualified’ rating because he didn’t have the experience and ‘was unable to provide sufficient writing samples of the caliber required’ of a U.S. circuit judge.”
The reason? “He could not write, folks,” she wrote.
Bendery also said Cruz voted to confirm Trump nominee Lawrence VanDyke, who his colleagues trashed. According to her, VanDyke is “arrogant, lazy, an ideologue, and lacking in knowledge of the day-to-day practice including procedural rules.”
She talked about Sarah Pitlyk as well. As far as she is concerned, the lady is not qualified because of her lack of courtroom experience.” Bendery said she has “Never tried a case. Never examined a witness. Never took a deposition or argued any motion in a state or federal trial court. The ABA’s rating was unanimous.”

They’re some of the few who made it through Cruz’s Judiciary Committee to gain approval by the Republicans in the Senate. Bendery says it leaves out a long list of judiciary candidates “who were even too crazy for Republicans to support.”
In response to her, Cruz said: “ABA is partisan.”
Cruz is a loyal supporter of Donald Trump, who is currently facing several lawsuits. In response to the post about Cruz’s interaction with Bendery, one netizen claimed that the man liked the former president too much.
Even when Trump allegedly found himself insulting Cruz’s family and kids before the world, he did not get upset.

Donald Trump has expressed his interest in running for president again and has received much support. Unfortunately, because of the legal turmoil surrounding him presently, many are wondering what will become of his campaign.
Some hardcore loyalists of Trump, like Bernie Marcus, say that they will most likely still support his bid despite a conviction. It has many people vowing to boycott Home Depot to shop at Lowe’s.
Marcus and his wife were some of the top financial backers Trump had in his corner during his previous bids. But this time, he said he does not plan to be one of the heaviest supporters.
