Beyoncé and her daughter Blue Ivy are joining forces again following the success of their “Renaissance” Tour. Disney confirmed on April 29 that the duo would star in an upcoming live-action “Lion King” prequel titled “Mufasa.” In this origin story of Simba’s father, Queen Bey will repeat her role as Nala, while Blue Ivy will debut as Kiara, Nala’s daughter.
Donald Glover will also return as Simba in this set before the events of the 2019 live-action “Lion King.” Choosing Blue Ivy as a cast in the movie seems natural to everyone. This is particularly true, given her top-tier performances with her mother on “Brown Skin Girl” from the “Lion King: The Gift album.”
Blue Ivy Is a Fast-Rising Star
Although Blue Ivy is just 12 years old, she has made a memorable appearance with Beyoncé while performing “My Power” on the “Renaissance” Tour.
