Former U.S. President Donald Trump hinted that he might deport Prince Harry from the U.S. if he gets re-elected as President. According to reports, this is because the Duke of Sussex, Harry, admitted to using drugs in his tell-all interview.
Prince Harry is also facing a legal battle over his immigration status. This all started when he openly talked about using illegal drugs in his book called “Spare,” which came out in 2023.
Donald Trump Speaks on What He’ll Do to Prince Harry if He Lied on His Visa
During an interview with Nigel Farage, a British broadcaster, former President Donald Trump made it crystal clear that Prince Harry, the son of King Charles, wouldn’t be getting any special treatment when it comes to his residency in the United States. This is all because there are concerns that Harry may have lied on his visa application.
Farage asked the former President whether Prince Harry should have “special privileges” if he is discovered to have lied on his application for a US visa. Trump answered, “No, we’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied, they’ll have to take appropriate action.”

When pressed on whether “appropriate action” might mean deportation, Trump left the possibility open. “Oh, I don’t know. You’ll have to tell me. You just have to tell me,” he said. “You would have thought they would have known this a long time ago.”
Trump Narrates How Prince Harry Betrayed His Grandmother, Late Queen of England
In “Spare,” Prince Harry talked about taking cocaine, cannabis, and psychedelic mushrooms, which would be grounds for his visa application to be rejected. Hence, Trump warned that if he wins the election and becomes the 47th president, Prince Harry will be “on his own” for betraying his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The former President had some strong opinions about Elizabeth. He praised her and criticized Harry and Meghan for their relationship with her.
“I thought she was treated very disrespectfully by them,” Trump said. “I would imagine they broke her heart. The things that they were saying were so bad and so horrible.” He added, “She was in her 90s, and hearing this stuff, I think they broke her heart; I think they hurt her.”

Trump Criticized President Joe Biden for Being Too Gracious to the Sussexes
At the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with the Biden administration’s treatment of Harry and Meghan. He claimed the administration has been “too gracious” since they moved to California in 2020.
The presumptive Republican presidential candidate also told the Daily Express newspaper, “I wouldn’t protect him.” He added, “He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me.” Trump said, “I think they have been too gracious to him after what he has done.”
A Glimpse of What Harry Wrote About Drugs in His Book
In “Spare,” Prince Harry discusses why he left the UK and the Royal Family. He gets real about his tough family relationships, struggles with mental health, and constant media harassment. But he also shares the good stuff, like his military service, charity work, and marriage.
The Duke also spoke about his usage of hard drugs. Harry wrote that cocaine “didn’t do anything for me,” but “Marijuana is different, that did help me.” After taking magic mushrooms, Harry said he started hallucinating and thought a bin in a bathroom was staring at him before growing “ahead.”

How Prince Harry Was Defended in Court by a U.S. Government Lawyer
The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, is asking for Harry’s visa records. They’re saying that since he’s used drugs, he might not have entered the US legally. Hence, they’re questioning if he followed all the rules.
However, the government lawyers argued Prince Harry’s account could have been embellished to “sell books.” They noted that “saying something in a book doesn’t necessarily make it true.” John Bardo, a lawyer for the Biden administration, told the court that “the book isn’t sworn testimony or proof.” He added, “Saying something in a book doesn’t necessarily make it true.”
Bardo added, “Prince Harry is one foreign national out of many who enter the US legally.”
