Actress, Zoe Kravitz and her husband Karl Glusman are on the verge of divorce, after spending less than two years as a married couple.
Hollywood sweethearts, Zoe Kravitz and Karl Glusman seemed like a match made in heaven since their romantic paths crossed in 2016.
Barely three years later, the duo tied the knot in a glam ceremony in Paris, marking the start of their lives together. However, recent reports flooding the media suggest that the couple’s fairytale marriage was headed down the drain.
A source confirmed that the 32-year-old actress filed for a divorce from her husband late last year, after eighteen months together. Court documents obtained by a news outlet also verified the reports, documenting the date of the divorce filing as December 23.
Although neither of the couple has addressed the speculations, it seems most likely, going by their latest social media activities, which has left many in shock.
Amid the divorce speculations, Glusman, 32, deleted every post from his Instagram account save for two, neither of which featured the actress. He also wiped out all mentions of Zoe Kravitz from his social media pages.
Kravitz also made some brow-raising moves on the platform, deleting photos featuring Glusman, except a few, including one captioned, “Husband.”
Days later, she shared a cryptic post to her Insta stories, which dwelt on her bid to take out the trash. The post showed a drag queen dumping a black bin bag into a trash can, with the words, “people places and things that no longer serve my greatest and highest good,” inscribed on it.
Kravitz’s caption on the post simply read, “Mood,” leaving fans convinced the meme was a reference to her soon-to-be ex-husband.
Having taken out the trash, the actress bid farewell to her “weirdo” year 2020, without hiding her intentions to move forward wholesomely. She ushered in the new year with a series of pictures that lauded her desire to enjoy the “little things” of life.
The posts comprised a fireplace, a bowl of soup, a full moon, a cake slice, fresh fruits, and a selfie of herself, all of which bore the words, “new year/little things” as the caption.
The news of Kravitz and Glusman’s divorce comes months after the former lovebirds celebrated their first wedding anniversary with envy-inducing posts on Instagram.
Sharing a black and white photo from their June 2019 wedding, the actor professed his love for his wife, referring to her as his best friend.
He went on to acknowledge the challenges of 2020, and how he hoped to make it through with her by his side. The actress shared the same picture to her account, simply captioning it “one year.”
The couple’s impending divorce is undoubtedly an obstacle to fulfilling their dreams of spending forever by each other’s side, one the world hopes they would overcome.
