“Arrested Development” Will Arnett is no magician in reality. Instead, he has three kids and has had his fair share of broken relationships. Here is a look at his life and affairs away from the screen.
When Will Arnett is not Gob Bluth on “Arrested Development,” he is either spending time with one of his kids or basking in his romance with his girlfriend, Alessandra Brawn.
Arnett is not just an amazing actor but a loving dad of three. He was once married to American actress Amy Poehler who had two children before the relationship went sour.
INSIDE ARNETT AND POEHLER’S RELATIONSHIP
Arnett and Poehler met in the late 1990s and dated for a while before tying the knot on August 29, 2003. While they were together, the couple worked on several productions, including “Blades of Glory” and “Horton Hears a Who!
The two actors are parents to two children, Archie and Abel. However, the couple who appeared to have had a perfect marriage for years broke many hearts when they decided to separate in September 2012.
Arnett and Poehler separated for almost four years before finalizing their divorce. Court documents obtained stated that neither actor would receive spousal support and were granted joint custody of their boys.
After their separation, Poehler opened up about what it felt like going through a divorce in her 2014 memoir, “Yes Please”:
“Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air. The process of divorce is about loading that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands.”
Already divorced, Arnett hooked up with celebrity chef Katie Lee. He was also romantically involved with actress Arielle Vandenberg. Poehler, on her part, dated comedian Nick Kroll but they broke up two years later.
ARNETT AND POEHLER’S KIDS
While Poehler and her ex-husband’s Arnett live a life in the public’s eye, the mom of two has kept their children away from the spotlight. Their First son Archibald born on October 25, 2008, shares his middle name with his famous dad, whose full name is William Emerson Arnett.
On the other hand, Arnett and Poehler’s second son Abel, born on August 6, 2010, shares his middle name, James, with his paternal grandfather.
There is not much news about Archie and Abel, but their mom once gave her sons an “I love you” shout-out during the Mother’s Day episode of SNL in 2019. Although Poehler is quite private about her kids’ affair, she has made several public appearances with the boys.
In December 2019, Poehler was spotted with Archibald and Abel at LAX International Airport. A few years earlier, in November 2015, Poehler was also photographed in Los Angeles with her boys.
ARNETT AND ALESSANDRA BRAWN
Arnett and his girlfriend Alessandra Brawn made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards in September 2019. A few months after dating, news broke that Arnett would be a dad for the third time.
Brawn gave birth to their baby boy Alexander Denison Arnett in Los Angeles on May 27. Since Alexander’s birth, the three have made several public appearances.
The lovebirds were spotted taking a walk with their son along the Big Apple’s crowded sidewalks. Arnett wore a black bomber jacket with dark jeans and high-top boots. Brawn, for her part, rocked a fashionable button-up jacket, a light beige scarf, and blue jeans.
Arnett also shared a photo of Alexander on his Instagram page. In the image shared, the little boy was covered up in a grey ensemble while Arnett carried him in on his arm.
