Khloe Kardashian’s first foray into marriage happened when she married NBA player Lamar Odom. However, throughout their marriage, the reality star could not get pregnant. At the time, doctors discovered Khloe was suffering from fertility issues. Her hormones were off, and she had to undergo regular injections and ultrasounds. Still, till their divorce in 2016, Khloe never got pregnant.
That same year, she met another NBA player Tristan Thompson, and they began a romantic relationship. However, in our quest to get pregnant, a doctor’s appointment revealed she had fewer follicles than expected at her age.
They later discovered that she didn’t make enough progesterone, the hormones that kept pregnancy in place and helped it develop. Nevertheless, just a couple of months into their relationship, Khloe finally got what she had dreamt of most of her life.
The reality star discovered she was pregnant, and according to an insider, the realization brought her so much joy. First, however, she had to use progesterone pessaries for three weeks, one in the morning and one at night.
The process was painful, and the reality star could barely walk, but she was determined to have a child. Thankfully, her levels were normal after ten weeks, and the doctors revealed supplements had saved her pregnancy.
Khloe and Tristan even waited six months before finally announcing the news to their fans. Then, the couple took to Instagram to review the way expecting a child together. In the post, Khloe noted that he had been waiting and wondering for a child; however, God had a plan. Khloe got the answers to our prayers when she welcomed a daughter True Thompson on April 12, 2018. Who became our first child that she shared with Tristan.
Khloe Welcomes a Second Child Via Surrogate
After the birth of True, Khloe and Tristan decided to add another child to their relationship. However, the couple faced major hurdles because Khloe struggled with fertility issues. The reality star underwent three failed cycles of IVF and even had to abandon the eggs she once froze. According to her, the eggs were not strong enough to survive the defrosting process. Khloe declared:
“We realised that my eggs aren’t strong enough to be frozen. They should be mixed immediately with sperm to make embryos.”
Tristan and the reality star had to skip straight to the embryo stage. However, covid made their quest harder. According to Khloe, the challenges were harder during covid, and it was as if God was laughing at her plans.
Afterward, doctors advised Kloe that it was not safe for her to carry a pregnancy. So instead, the reality star turned to surrogacy. Thankfully in November 2021, Khloe and Tristan conceived a baby via a surrogate.
However, the reality star waited until July 2022 to announce she was expecting a second child. In the statement released by Khloe’s spokesperson, she said:
“Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family.”
The reality star finally added a second child to her family a month later. Khloe’s new baby boy arrived via surrogate. The baby’s arrival ended a long time of frustration for the reality star.
Khloe’s Motherhood Beliefs
After the birth of her child, Play disclosed that becoming a mother altered her priorities in life. The reality star noted that after having True, she had to learn how to balance her time.
According to the reality star, True became the most important person who deserved her undivided attention. However, she also had to learn to set boundaries and manage her time to care for True.
Motherhood also inspired a shift in mindset for Khloe. The reality star noted that pregnancy made her think about ways to better the world and herself. She started caring about the environment more than ever before because she wanted the best for her children.
Besides all these concerns, Khloe is also an advocate for body positivity. The reality star had her share of body image struggles earlier in her career. However, she does not want her daughter to grow up thinking she must do something to look a certain way.
True Is Embracing Her New Brother
After the quest to have a second child Khloe is thrilled by the latest addition to her family. Adding a son made it a dream come true for both Khloe and her daughter True. According to a source:
“They are all truly ecstatic about welcoming a new baby. True is old enough that she can really help out and be involved with feedings and diaper changes. She is loving being a big sister.”
Meanwhile, Khloe is happy with how True adapted to having a baby brother. According to reports, the reality star loves watching her daughter care for the new baby. She also feels blessed to have given True a sibling.
Also, Khloe recently shared a picture of her adorable daughter on Instagram. In the picture, True stood in front of a huge cat-shaped flower display. The adorable four-year-old also donned pink tie-dye leggings and a floral top.
Shortly after, she also shared an eight-photo carousel of True opposing for her mother at the bottom of a staircase. The little girl wore a pink denim shirt and matching ribbed vest top. True completed her look with accessorized crocs and a pair of pink heart-shaped sunglasses, all in the color pink.
After posting the photos, fans of the reality star rushed to her comments section to praise True. They described her as a cool kid and lauded Khloe for dressing True in age-appropriate colors.
