Barely less than a year into his new relationship, American rapper and actor Common is hinting at the probability of getting married. Consequently, Common’s ex-girlfriend, Tiffany Haddish, has reacted to his statement about wanting to get hitched.
In February 2023, Common and Jennifer Hudson sparked dating rumors after they were pictured having dinner together. However, on Monday, January 22, 2024, during “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” Common appeared as a guest. In the episode, Common turned up on stage with flowers, wherein he spoke about his love life.
Subsequently confirming their dating rumors, Common was seen telling Hudson how he adores spending time with her. Common claimed she was one of the most beautiful people he had ever laid eyes on.

On Monday, July 15, 2024, Common made an appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” wherein he spoke about his relationship with Hudson. Common said that seven months into the relationship, he still feels the same way as the first day.

Additionally, Common stated that dating a woman from the place he was, makes being with Hudson feel like home, as they are both Chicago natives. Common stated he meant no insult to his past relationships, but his relationship with Hudson is a beautiful and healthy one.
Additionally, Common stated that he is actively working on taking accountability in their relationship by applying advice he got in therapy. He ended his statement by saying if he was ever going to get married, it would be to Hudson.

With videos from Common’s “The Breakfast Club” appearance making waves, one of his former romantic partners has responded. Common ex-girlfriend Haddish replied to a video clip of the interview after it was shared by the popular Instagram blog The Shade Room.
A fan by the username “klassykaramelkween” commented that this was the first time that Common had said something of the sort. The comment read, “Well there he said it he wants to marry her he ain’t neva said that abt no woman b4.” Haddish had responded to that comment, saying that it was true and that she hopes that they get married.
