“Taxpayers Deserve Answers!” NYC Democrat Fumes As Migrants Claim Towed Cars Outside Shelter

The migrant crisis in the United States is a hot topic for lawmakers and other Americans. It has caused a series of controversy and backlash in recent months. Most recently, a New York Democrat Assemblywoman demanded that the Biden administration provide answers to the migrant situation.

She recorded and shared a video of towed cars outside a Brooklyn center that apparently belongs to migrants.

“It seems like they’re having more resources than the average American, so we deserve answers,” Assemblywoman Jaime Williams, who represents southeast Brooklyn-area neighborhoods like Marine Park and Canarsie, told “Fox & Friends First” on Monday. According to the New York Post, about 5 vehicles that were illegally parked outside Floyd Bennett Field were towed last Friday night.

In the now-viral video, two of the vehicles captured seem to be SUVs, while one of the vehicles appears to be a pickup truck. Williams counted the vehicles being towed and pointed out that they didn’t have license plates. Co-host Todd Piro asked Williams if she had gotten any answers about where the migrants could have gotten the vehicles from.

“We have not gotten any responses from anyone whatsoever. This morning, we will be working on that, but, as of right now, nothing,” she replied. New York City is struggling with the impact of the migrant overflow. As a result, Mayor Eric Adams has been quite outspoken about the situation and has cut budgets to handle related costs.

“It’s an abuse of taxpayers dollars. Every American taxpaying American need to know what’s going on. There needs to be more transparency, and let’s take it a little bit further with the Biden administration, who have turned a blind eye to this national crisis,” Williams continued in the video. “We have lawlessness happening in New York City and specifically in my district in the southeast side of Brooklyn. So, now myself and our residents I have become benefactors of the lawlessness of these migrants.”

Furthermore, Piro pointed out that the migrant situation is more bipartisan than ever. He asked the Assemblywoman if she believed more Democrats are observing the degree of the issue to do something about it. “I don’t think there are enough of us this year, and I don’t think people should be looking at what party name is behind the person’s name,” she responded.

“Specifically myself and Councilwoman Joann Ariola have taken this bipartisan fight, and we have made it ours because it affects everyone in our district, and I don’t know why people are afraid to step up to the plate, but we need to do this sooner than later. We owe it to each and every taxpaying American.”

So far, New York City isn’t the only one struggling to handle the inflow of migrants. Other cities like Chicago face their fair share of the migrant issue. The migrants arriving in New York City were moved from border cities in Texas because of their overwhelming number.
