TIA AND TAMERA MOWRY’S LIVES ON “SISTER, SISTER”

The Mowry sisters landed their roles on the ABC sitcom, “Sister, Sister,” when they were sixteen. The series followed the lives of two sisters forced to live apart after fate separated them at birth. After growing up for fourteen years in different backgrounds and adopting opposite personalities, they found each other coincidentally.

While Tia Mowry starred as Tia Landry, the calm, intelligent twin, Tamera played the exact opposite, an out-going boy-crazy teenager. Following their separation at birth, a single woman working as a seamstress adopted Tia, while a high-society couple, running a limousine service, adopted Tamera.

Their meeting fourteen years later marked the beginning of their new lives together. Tia and her adoptive mom eventually moved in with Tamera and her widowed dad to prevent a second separation.
