Rep. Lauren Boebert has been spotted smoking in a prohibited area once again. According to Politico, the controversial Colorado representative was spotted vaping at a Congressional Baseball Game for Charity while she wrote an autographed MAGA baseball cap.

The Nationals Park in Washington D.C. is notably a non-smoking zone, and this includes smoking cigarettes, tobacco, or any other smoking devices. This is enforced under District of Columbia law, and it is appalling to see a lawmaker publicly break such a rule without reasonable cause.

To make matters worse, this is not the first time that Boebert has done something like this. She was sighted vaping in September 2023 in another location that also prohibits smoking in any form.

This was during a performance of the “Beetlejuice” musical at a Denver theater, where she was also seen getting quite handsy with her date. When she started to receive backlash for her actions, she initially lied about her behavior that evening and said she was innocent of the accusations.

However, a video from inside the theater made by other attendees surfaced on the internet and showed her doing all the things she was accused of. Therefore, she could no longer deny these claims.

The 37-year-old eventually took some sort of responsibility by saying that she had no recollection of smoking at the venue but said that she had fallen short of her values in that instance. She also blamed the “Beetlejuice” occurrence on the hard times that she has had in her personal life, citing smoking as a source of comfort.

Around that time, she was in the middle of a contentious divorce from her ex-husband. Both of them have had many publicized quarrels, which made several headlines over the years.

She also became a grandmother last year at the age of 36 after her teenage son, Tyler Boebert, became a father. Tyler was also arrested in February in connection to a string of vehicle break-ins in Colorado, the same state that his mother is representing.

Therefore, she received a lot of backlash for that, and her repetitive smoking in publicly prohibited places has not helped her cause. However, Boebert is not letting this stop her political aspirations.

As a MAGA loyalist, she still hopes to continue her political career. She is leaving the 3rd District Congressional seat that she currently occupies and won back in 2020. If she wins in 2025, she hopes to represent Colorado’s 4th District.

She also has the support of the current Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump. In addition, the Republican baseball team that she was supporting when she was spotted vaping at the venue won against their Democratic counterparts.

According to reports, the game was briefly interrupted by climate protesters who were hoping to get the attention of all the lawmakers at once. The Republican Party and its members have famously been accused of ignoring climate change and actively fueling it by many people, including Democrats.
