Gun violence has become an epidemic in America despite the efforts of the Biden administration. On Sunday evening, four people died, and at least three others got injured, in another occasion of gun violence.
Police are searching for three suspects who reportedly drove up to a King City, California, house party and opened fire. King City is located about 62 miles southeast of Monterey.
According to the cops, the three exited the car and immediately opened fire on people in the front yard. Then, they got back into the car and fled the scene. Police are still looking for the three suspects. However, the search has been challenging as the men were wearing dark-colored clothing and masks.
Among the four that died, three were men, and they died at the scene. The last was a woman. They got her to a hospital, but it was too late to save her. They pronounced her dead not long after, according to King City Police Chief James Hunt.

The three other people who got injuries from the gunshots also went to a hospital for treatment. However, details about their conditions were not made public.
The California house party shooting is one violent altercation. But it adds to a troubling list of ordinary gatherings ruined by gun violence in America last weekend. Below are a few more occurrences that marked the last weekend:

- One teenager in Georgia took a bullet from police while officers were trying to displace a group of 500 to 600 guests, causing commotion at the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park.
- One woman is also dead, and 12 other people left with injuries thanks to a shooting at a nightclub teeming with hundreds of attendees in Mississippi.
- Two people, including a child, were victims of a shooting that erupted outside of a high school basketball game in Missouri.
- A two-year-old child is dead thanks to an altercation between two people outside an apartment complex in Marianna, Arkansas. The toddler is in critical condition, and police have taken one suspect into custody while the search for the other 22-year-old suspect continues.
The shooting in California extends the list of at least 68 mass shootings in the country so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive. The archive defines a mass shooting as one in which the shooter hits at least four people, excluding themselves.

The incident at King City shows why the POTUS, Joe Biden, needs to come down harder on gun control. He recently reiterated his dedication to that course.
However, American citizens are not totally happy with what he’s doing. They believe it is the wrong time to get serious about disarming citizens because of the increasing crime rate among migrants.
