Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are taking a step back from their wedding plans. The “Total Bellas” star explained the delay in an interview while giving fans a glimpse into her dream wedding.
“Total Bellas” star Nikki Bella and her beau, Artem Chigvintsev, have seemed almost inseparable since becoming an item in 2019. Welcoming a son together only made their relationship stronger, making a grand wedding seem like the obvious next step.
The couple didn’t disappoint, as soon enough, they began discussing plans for their impending nuptials. Hence, the revelation of their decision to put their wedding on hold after months of planning gave many the jitters.
While some fear the delay indicated an impending breakup, others can only hope for the best, with fingers crossed. Here is all Nikki Bella had to say about their relationship and putting their wedding on hold.

Bella and Artem Chigvintsev first met in 2017, after they coupled up as a team on the competition show, “Dancing With The Stars.” Although they proved to be the perfect pair, they kept their feelings in check, as Bella was engaged to WWE champion John Cena at the time.
However, they developed a lasting friendship that lasted long after their joint stint on the show. In January 2019, following Bella’s split from Cena, she became linked with Chigvintsev.

In January 2020, the former wrestler announced her engagement to Chigvintsev via social media. The “DWTS” pro popped the big question the previous November, during a romantic getaway in France.
The twosome agreed to keep their engagement a secret until they rang in the new year. Taking to Instagram, Bella gushed about how excited she was to spend the next decade with her beau.
Chigvintsev also confirmed the news, utilizing the platform to thank the reality star for saying yes to his proposal. He went on to describe Bella as the best thing that ever happened to him.
A GLIMPSE INTO THEIR ENGAGEMENT
The couple accompanied their social media announcements with a series of pictures that took fans on a detailed ride through their grand engagement.
Going by the photos, Chigvintsev popped the big question in a ballroom adorned with red roses. A hired string quartet appeared to serenade the star as the professional dancer propped on one knee and asked away.
WELCOMING THEIR FIRST CHILD
Six months after the romantic engagement, Bella and Chigvintsev welcomed their baby boy, Matteo Chigvintsev. Bella took the news to Instagram, letting the world know their child’s arrival made them happier and more in love than ever.
She accompanied the announcement with a photo of her and Chigvintsev’s hands grasping their newborn’s hands affectionately. Interestingly, Matteo arrived just a day after Nikki Bella’s twin sister, Brie Bella, welcomed a baby boy.

Despite their increasing love for each other and their growing family, Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev do not seem in a hurry to walk down the aisle.
During a Zoom interview with Deidre Behar of Entertainment Tonight, the mother of one opened up about her dream nuptials. She explained how she and Chigvintsev hoped to tie the knot in the fall and were already looking up available wedding venues.
While her family wanted a small wedding, the star revealed she envisioned a big bash that would be a journey and a fun experience all at once. That way, she could be sure to do it the right way.
Nikki Bella also revealed plans to go to New York to shop for wedding dresses. As for the possible wedding venue, Bella excitedly opted for Napa Valley, where they could be “a little crispy cold” and enjoy the best food ever. The wedding would also feature champagne towers, black tie events and red decors.
WHY THEY PUT THEIR DREAM WEDDING ON HOLD
Addressing why she chose to suspend the wedding until the fall rather than have it sooner, the star admitted she felt going down that path in a hurry would be “cramming,” with no aorta of fun.
Additionally, Bella and Chigvintsev have been busy with their house remodelling and designing. Since they hardly had time for anything else, putting off the wedding as long as they could seemed like a wise decision.
While trying to put everything else in order, Bella admitted they had no wedding plans or a possible date yet.
