Recently, Mike Tyson gave his social media followers a sneak peek of his readiness to face Jake Paul. To show off this readiness, he engaged in an intense fight with one of Paul’s team members in a Nevada parking lot. With fast workouts and tough, hard hooks, Tyson showed off his readiness. Fellas, it seems the 57-year-old former heavyweight champion still has the juice to deliver his skills.

Captioning the video on his Instagram and X accounts, Tyson said, “Can’t wait for this to be Jake.” Tyson and Paul are set for July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Prior to this upcoming event, the duo had already engaged in pre-fight banter, prepping the stage for a showdown with less than three months remaining. What’s it going to be? Let’s get into it! 

Jake Paul Responds to Tyson’s Training Footage

In a recent “Jesse Watters Primetime appearance,” Jake Paul confessed that he believes that Mike Tyson was underestimating him ahead of their anticipated clash. Confidently, he said that the clash would be a heavyweight fight. Although he acknowledged Tyson’s physical advantages, Paul noted that his speed and freshness set him apart from Tyson.

Does being fresh have nothing to do with winning? Well, we can’t be so sure. Let’s all wait to see what happens by July 20. Regarding Tyson’s status, Paul further accepts the challenge. He admitted that the clash would be one of the toughest tests of his life, but he still thinks it’s a privilege to be in there with the heavyweight champion.

Still firm about his conviction, Paul told fans that he would win at the end of the game. As the duo keeps exchanging words and training diligently, we eagerly anticipate their showdown.

As Mike Tyson continues to show fans his intense preparation, fans’ reactions are divided. Although many support and admire his power, others are skeptical of the limited training footage. “He ain’t ready, Big Mike,” commented one fan. Another fan added, “57 years old, and the power in that punch looks unreal!”

Another commented that Jake Paul must never show his face again if he loses. However, if it’s the other way around, that’s an elderly abuse. Elsewhere, former UFC champion Michael Bisping gives his two cents about Paul’s decision to face Tyson. He highlighted the age difference and the potential repercussions for both fighters.

With the vast 31-year age gap hanging over the matchup, it will most likely be the biggest in the history of professional boxing. This surpasses the 24-year age gap between Archie Moore, 49, and Mike DiBiase, 25, when they fought in 1963.
