The Venezuelan TikToker, who gained notoriety for advocating illegal activities and flaunting his supposed lavish lifestyle in the United States, is now reportedly evading immigration authorities, a recent report reveals.

Leonel Moreno, known for his controversial TikTok videos, is said to be on the run after allegedly cutting off his ankle monitor following his release on border parole.

According to a report by the New York Post, Moreno is listed as an “absconder” by immigration authorities, as per documents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Moreno had previously boasted about his family receiving $350 per week in government handouts since entering the U.S. illegally, in addition to claiming to earn $1,000 daily as a TikTok influencer.

However, his TikTok account, which once boasted over 500,000 followers, appeared inactive as of Wednesday morning. Nevertheless, his verified Instagram account, with approximately 17,000 followers, showed him flaunting wads of cash in recent posts.

The TikToker had gained attention for advocating the exploitation of squatters’ rights laws, allegedly planning to profit by illegally occupying abandoned homes and then selling them. Despite listing a church charity in Miami as his immigration sponsor, Moreno has reportedly been residing in Columbus, Ohio.

Moreno’s brazen remarks and lifestyle revelations have sparked outrage, particularly as he openly discussed living off taxpayer money and voiced support for suspects in criminal cases, including a shooting incident in New York City’s Times Square.

His actions have drawn attention to the broader issue of illegal immigration, with concerns mounting over its ties to criminal activities.

Notably, illegal immigration from Venezuela has garnered increased scrutiny due to the presence of notorious gangs like Tren de Aragua, which is seeking to establish a foothold in the United States.

The gang has been linked to various criminal activities, including attacks on law enforcement officers, international robbery rings, and even the indirect involvement in the murder of a nursing student in Georgia.

Authorities have issued warnings about the spread of Tren de Aragua across several states, including New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and Georgia.

As Moreno’s case highlights, the intersection of illegal immigration and criminal elements underscores the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in ensuring public safety and enforcing immigration laws to develop comprehensive solutions that uphold both the nation’s values and its security interests.
