Following his ex-wife, Meghan King’s disclosure of their son’s health condition, former MLB player, Jim Edmonds has revealed he was unaware of the diagnosis.
“The Real Housewives Of Orange County” star Meghan King recently went public with the news of her son Hart’s diagnosis with Cerebral Palsy.
Since the news broke, many have sympathized with the family, extending words of encouragement to King, and her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds.
In a new development, Edmonds has stepped forward to inform the public he was in the dark about the diagnosis.
The MLB star’s representative, Steve Honig, revealed in a statement that the father-of-three learned of the news like everyone else, through his ex-wife’s blog post. He said:
“Jim is unaware of any such diagnosis. and if it is even true, it is completely unconscionable and absolutely disgraceful that Meghan would announce this on social media without discussing it with him first.”
The “RHOC” star took to her blog on Tuesday, October 6, to share the devastating news of 2-year-old Hart’s condition. She previously disclosed on social media that Hart suffered from periventricular leukomalacia a year prior.
She went further to recount her journey as a mother, since discovering he had PVL. According to the reality star, PVL, otherwise referred to as “brain death,” was a precursor to Hypotonic cerebral palsy.
Hence, learning her son had the condition a year ago made her prepared for the worst. She suspected cerebral palsy even before the doctors confirmed her fears recently.
King’s revelation, as well as Edmond’s reaction, has led to another drama between exes, who divorced on bad terms. Addressing her ex’s claims, King divulged:
“Jim’s statements are untrue, and I refuse to address them further.”
As most may recall, Jim Edmonds and Meghan King have been back and forth in a messy divorce and custody battle.
The duo separated after a five-year marriage and three children. Following their split, the two became estranged and at loggerheads. They have since engaged in an endless battle for custody of their twin boys, and daughter, Aspen.
Edmonds has described their post-divorce conflict as “going through hell.” He also described his marriage to King as a “loveless and abusive” relationship. King, on her part, accused the former MLB star severally of cheating, but he debunked them.
Dragging each other seems to have become a norm for the estranged exes with their three adorable children caught in between.
