Jennifer Lopez is speaking up about her rough year.
In an interview with Nikki Glaser that was published in Interview Magazine on October 9, Jennifer Lopez opened up about the emotional roller coaster, referring to it as “probably the hardest time in my life.”
She explained to Glaser in Interview Magazine that she had a moment of realization where she felt she had arrived, having done all the work and reached a good place. However, she added that shortly after, it felt as if her entire world turned upside down.
She stated that she is accepting that things will not go as planned. Reflecting on this moment in her life, she understood that it did not go exactly as intended. However, she realized it was exactly where she needed to be to get where she wanted to go.
Lopez stated that she does not regret what she went through but that the turbulence affected her. The singer pointed out that she is “excited” to be single and not dating. In addition, she stated that this summer taught her the importance of being self-sufficient.

What Caused Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s Split?
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had a widely recognized second-chance romance. They married in July 2022 after dating and calling off an engagement in the early 2000s. The “Marry Me” singer, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, on August 20, 2024, which happened to be the couple’s second anniversary of their Georgia wedding.
According to the Daily Mail, the renowned singer chose this decision on purpose. Lopez separated from Affleck after two years of marriage due to irreconcilable disagreements.
