The much-anticipated trial of President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden has reached a significant stage where the defense side has rested their side of the case. 

Hunter Biden is currently facing federal criminal charges concerning possible unlawful acquisition of a firearm by an individual under groundless federal felony charges.

The defense was able to summon three witnesses who testified about Hunter Biden’s previous drug use one week before the trial was concluded. 

Unsubstantiated allegations of procuring a gun illicitly, Hunter is said to have inflated his drug consumption and reliance on the federal forms and that is what is being contested in this trial. All these things occurred in the year 2018.

The defense has incorporated a narrative that was constructed based on the non-guilt of Hunter Biden and the main controversy with the allegations of the government.

The defense has continued to argue that the prosecution has tendered bad character evidence, and the government has failed to prove the case against them.

The defense called expert witnesses to come and testify before the court and among them was the firearms forensic expert who had handled the gun on the occasion.

In this case, the expert was able to support that the gun was unloaded at the time when she was alleged to have purchased it and she had not used the gun to commit a crime.

The defense also asked for several witnesses to testify and directly counter the government’s narrative, like a former business partner who testified that Hunter Biden never pointed the firearm at him.

In this specific instance, one of the witnesses was Naomi Biden, who is the daughter of Hunter Biden. She elaborated more during her testimony concerning her father’s drug dependency which he had never surrendered and his several admissions to rehab.

The proponent for the defense, however, presented the owner of the gun shop where Hunter Biden reportedly procured the gun as a defense witness.

The shop owner testified that he never sold firearms to Hunter Biden and even claimed that he never met the President’s son.

The defense sought and produced computer forensic personnel who testified that in their examination, they did not find anything suggesting any gun-related activity on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The experts also pointed out that it was likely that any email or message containing information about the firearm was fake or the content of the message was changed.

There was much gossip regarding Biden testifying on his behalf and taking the stand in the trial.

The defense never summoned Biden to testify although there were rumors that he was going to be the one to testify. Instead, the defense has rested in its entirety in the case at hand.

The primary witness was Hallie Biden, the wife of the late brother of Hunter Biden, Beau Biden. Much of the information about the defendant’s experiences in 2018 was provided by Hallie Biden. This rifle was said to have been bought by him while he was with Hallie Biden, but he was allegedly using a controlled substance.

After finding out that Hunter Biden bought a gun in 2018, Hallie Biden admitted feeling “panicked”, and this led to her decision to dispose of this gun.

Some have wondered how Biden would respond if his son was implicated in these felonies and possibly sent to jail.

The president again stressed that he would respect the outcome of this particular gun trial no matter the situation. Further, He said if his son is guilty then he won’t be pardoned.

It will now be the prosecution to address the jury and the public and tell them why Hunter Biden should be convicted as charged.

The defense side will then close its case and will present its argument on why Hunter Biden should be a free man.

They will then retire to consider their verdict whenever the final submissions have been presented to the court.

The jurors will be required to analyze all circumstances witnessed during the trial and provide their verdict on whether Hunter Biden is guilty or not guilty of possessing a firearm while knowing that he is a convicted felon.

The case has been thought to be very much political while many have asked questions as to why the accused ought to be tried.

However, the verdict of this case will determine the fate of Hunter Biden and his father, the incumbent President of the United States of America Joe Biden. When the jury bench is made, people are going to focus on the verdict that this much-hyped trial will bring.
