Popular fast food chain Chick-fil-A is expanding its menu much to the delight of its customers.
They’re now including six different types of pizzas available on the company’s website. However, some people have a big problem with an ingredient in the pizzas.

S. Truett Cathy founded Chick-fil-A in 1967. Its first branch was in Atlanta’s Greenbriar Shopping Center. Today, the fast food brand has the highest same-store sales and is the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States based on annual system-wide sales. Before his death in 2014, he appointed his son Dan as the company’s CEO. They’ve followed a traditional path to leadership, as the grandson currently holds the position.

The fast food chain decided to upgrade its menu even though it is majorly popular for making chicken. Therefore, they added pizza pies to their menu.
Customers can now choose from six different types of pizzas. While some are classic favorites, they made the others specific to the Chick-fil-A customer base. You just have to choose which you would prefer.

Chick-fil-A’s love for their customers has always been a staple. Therefore, it wasn’t a surprise when they announced that the pizza pies were because they wanted to be a part of their customers’ lives.
A company representative said they saw customers making pizzas at home using some of the company’s classic ingredients, so they decided to take inspiration from this and make six different pizza pies.

According to the company’s website, the Chick-fil-A pizzas will be available via Little Blue Menu, an “innovation kitchen brand” created by Chick-fil-A.
The Little Blue Menu allows ordering Chick-fil-A items or new dishes, such as pizza pies, wings, and burgers. Therefore, all their new items are on that platform.

Unlike most of their food options, customers cannot buy pizza pies in stores. They are only available online for now. Therefore, their customers who would like to try the new pizzas have to order them via the Chick-fil-A website or app.
The company did not give a specific reason for making the pizza pies; they are only available online.

Of the six new pizza pies, the company has three traditional classic options. They are cheese pizza pie, pepperoni pizza pie, and meats-n-veg pizza pie, according to Chick-fil-A.
As these are most people’s go-to orders, it will help to ease customers into the new food items on the menu.

The other three pizza pie options are an innovative mix of some of the best Chick-fil-A classic ingredients. One of them is the Chick-fil-A pizza pie, which includes mozzarella cheese and chopped Chick-fil-A nuggets. Another is their “buff-lo-ranch” pizza, which is similar to the Chick-fil-A pizza but with buffalo sauce. Finally, there is the pepperoni pizza round, which is Chick-fil-A’s twist on a pizza calzone.

While the aforementioned options sound great, the customers have a problem with something in them. Most of Chick-fil-A’s customers had positive responses to the new pizza pies while some had their reservations.
According to The Sun, the one ingredient that most customers were complaining about are pickles.

After Chick-fil-A shared a Facebook post announcing the news of their new menu, many criticized the pickles on pizza idea immediately. One person wrote, “Ewwww … pickles?” Another urged Chick-fil-A to “stay in their lane. No.”
Without a doubt, not everyone likes pickles, and putting them on pizza sounds like a bad idea for some.

While pickles can be great, a lot of customers do not think they would like them on a pizza. This is similar to the discourse about pineapples on pizza.
One commenter pointed this out on Facebook. They wrote, “I think it’s time we drop the pineapple argument and come together to say it’s pickles that don’t belong on pizza.”

While many people had an issue with the thought of pickles on pizza, others were all in favor of this item. On Facebook, one person wrote, “Sounds amazing. I would buy it.” Another Facebook user pointed out they’d tried it already, writing, “Pickle pizza is AMAZING!”
Evidently, this means it’s a matter of preference for most people.

While people have their opinions on the controversial pickle pizzas, most of them do not have access to it yet. Most of them do not need to worry as the pizza pies are only available in one location.
According to a report by USA Today, Chick-fil-A’s pizza pies will only be available from College Park, Maryland. Therefore, it is not available nationwide yet and those who want to try it may have to wait a while.
