Steve Harvey Approved Of Michael B. Jordan, The First Time He Saw Him
Once speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Steve Harvey shared that he had been skeptical about meeting B Jordan when he and Lori had just started dating. However, the “The Steve Harvey Show” alum was surprised and impressed about the young actor’s personality. The TV icon shared:
“This guy is is not a representative. He is genuinely who he looks like he is. It threw me off at first because he was so kind.”
Steve On Lori Harvey’s Public Romance
Steve might have thought that B Jordan’s gentlemanly nature was a facade, but he found out the “Creed” actor was genuine. Despite this fantastic personality that he loves, Steve understands that dating in the public eye could be difficult.
He attested to ET that romances in Hollywood could be “really really hard,” and there could be a lot of “pitfalls.” In addition, he noted that it was even more challenging for a young couple in the spotlight.
The Star Dad Is Happy For His Daughter
The “Family Feud” star relayed to People in September 2021 that he was very happy for how Lori Harvey’s relationship had panned out with Michael B. Jordan. He stated that it was the first time he was pleased about Lori’s relationship, and it was also the first time “she’s been happy.”
Steve On How He wants Lori Harvey Treated
Speaking to People about B. Jordan’s status as People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Steve joked that he did not care for that. Although he isn’t Lori Harvey’s real dad, Steve emphasized that what mattered to him most was how his daughter was being treated.
The TV personality shared: “He’s not the sexiest man alive to me, at all, I haven’t seen it. I haven’t seen anything sexy yet. But I’m a father. I don’t give a damn if you [are] cute. I just want somebody to treat my princess the way I treat her.”
Steve Is Uncomfortable With The Couple’s Steamy Photos
In his recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Steve had quite a hilarious but expected reaction to his daughter’s romantic photo. In her humorous ways, DeGeneres put up a sizzling photo of Jordan and Lori while they enjoyed a romantic moment.
However, Steve did not subscribe to the image, as he told his fellow comedian and TV star that he was “uncomfortable.” He added that he was “not feeling” the snapshot.
Steve Thinks Jordan is Good at Gifting
Despite not being comfortable with the young couple’s steamy photos, Steve appreciates the “Black Panther” actor for being good at gifting. Steve told DeGeneres:
“That’s why I like him. That boy came through. He [is] trying to impress the family. I’m a father, so he bought me this big 100 [pack] cigar box of the most hard to get cigars.”
He added that Jordan bought his wife, Marjorie Harvey, some skis.
Steve Thinks Jordan Is A Good Guy
The star told DeGeneres that he was rooting for B Jordan because he was a good guy. He also mentioned that the award-winning actor was from a “good family.”

Steve has a soft spot for Michael B Jordan, but he will not let his guard down. He shared: “At the same time, I got my eye on him. I can’t whoop him, but if he ever turn around, I’mma knock (him) out.”
