The 2024 Oscars took place on March 10th, with Hollywood’s finest in attendance. It was a memorable night for many, including Emma Stone, who won her second Oscar ever! This was no easy feat as she was up against considerable talents like Lily Gladstone, Annette Bening, Carey Mulligan, and Sandra Hüller in the Best Actress category.
She was shocked when she won, which is evident in her acceptance speech. “Oh boy, my dress is broken. I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ I’m pretty sure. Oh boy, this is overwhelming,” she said.
She was awarded for her incredible performance as the lead in “Poor Things.” She acknowledged the other women in the Best Actress category in her emotional speech. “All the women on the stage, incredible. And the women in this category, Sandra, Annette, Carey, Lily, I share this with you; I am in awe of you.”
“It has been such an honor to do all this together, and I hope we keep doing more together. Oh, I don’t know what I’m saying. Oh my God, I’m totally—okay.” The 35-year-old also mentioned that she was panicking about winning such a huge award.

“I was panicking, as you can see. It happens a lot, and maybe something like this could happen. And Yorgos said to me, please take yourself out of it, and he was right because it’s not about me,” she said. “It’s about a team that came together to make something more significant than the sum of its parts, and that is the best part about making movies: It’s all of us together.”
In addition, she said, “And I am so deeply honored to share this with every cast member, crew member, and every single person who poured their love, their care, and their brilliance into the making of this film.”
“And Yorgos, thank you for the gift of a lifetime in Bella Baxter. I am forever thankful for you. Thank you for inviting all of us to be members of this team.” In conclusion, Stone thanked all her loved ones for their support and love.

“I know I have to wrap up, but I just want to thank my family, my mom, my brother, Spencer, my dad, my husband, Dave; I love you so much,” the “Cruella” actress said.
“And most importantly, my daughter, who will be three in three days, has turned our lives technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl. Thank you so much.”

Since beginning her acting career in 2004, Stone has only won an Oscar once. This was for her performance in the 2016 movie La La Land. Therefore, this is a massive win for the Hollywood superstar. She has also received many other nominations for her roles in different films.
Stone is one of the most beloved Hollywood actresses and is famous worldwide. In 2017, she was the world’s highest-paid actress. Time magazine also named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
