With one week until the Oscars, our favorite stars stepped out in Hollywood on Sunday, March 3, 2024, to celebrate some of the year’s biggest films and stars. Hollywood fashion heavy hitters gathered in Beverly Hills for the 6th American Black Film Festival Honors, and they didn’t disappoint.
The annual event awards the best of the best in Black talent in the motion picture and television industry. This year, the festival honored Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-nominated Taraji P. Henson and Jefferey Wright with the Excellence in Arts Award, amongst others.
Here’s how the stars arrived on the red carpet at the American Black Film Festival Honors.
Taraji P. Henson
The renowned actress graced the red carpet, serving top-tier glam in a strapless, sequined Nicole by NF dress. The form-fitting dress featured a sleek silhouette that fell slightly above her ankles, highlighting her gold Gianvito Rossi pumps.
The 53-year-old actress paired the look with bold eyeshadow, delivering a sultry glam look. The dramatic cat eye paired with purple shadow perfectly matched her dress.
Issa Rae
The “Insecure” actress kept it simple and classy at the American Black Film Festival Honors. Issa Rae, who will serve as the festival’s Creative Director in June 2024, showed off her skin at the event.
The stunning actress kept it sleek, simple, and sultry in a black Versace gown paired with black strappy sandals. With her high-slit gown and open heels, Rae left little to the imagination.
Lisa Raye McCoy
Lisa Raye McCoy appeared in an all-white ensemble, lighting up the red carpet with her smile. She participated in the all-white spring trend, opting for a loose-fitting white dress.
While the all-white dress looked stunning, McCoy paired it with the right accessories. She accessorized with a pearl necklace and a white belt cinched at the waist.

Yvonne Orji
Actress and comedian Yvonne Orji also graced the American Black Film Festival Honors red carpet in white. The multitalented actress stunned in a white suit, which complimented her body perfectly.
Furthermore, she accentuated the suit with a gold bustier that looked radiant against her melanin. Orji paired the outfit with gold pointy shoes, matching her bustier and little waist purse.
Tai Beauchamp
Tai Beauchamp brought all the sparkle to the American Black Film Festival. The renowned TV host added sparkle to the red carpet clad in a silver crop top. Beauchamp paired the dazzling top with a matching skirt that featured a thigh-high slit.
The TV host shut down the red carpet, pairing her outfit with black heel sandals and laid-back hair. Also, she rocked a sultry makeup look.
Lamorne Morris
While the ladies ate up the red carpet with their looks, the men also brought their A-game. The renowned actor and comedian graced the red carpet in a buttoned, shiny green suit.
The famous star paired the shiny suit with a white collared shirt. Morris gave fans a masterclass with his perfect pop of colors, sporting a burgundy pocket square.

Jeffrey Wright
The American actor, an honoree at the 6th American Black Film Festival Honors, kept it simple and sharp. Wright wore a black velvet three-piece tuxedo paired with a black bow tie.
Simple and classy never looked better on the red carpet as the renowned star paired the outfit with a plain black pair of shoes.
Wendell Pierce
Like Wright, Wendell Pierce graced the 6th American Black Film Festival Honors red carpet in a black Tuxedo. The American actor rocked the black tux with a white button-up shirt and a black bow tie.
However, Pierce took it up a notch with a black-and-white polka dot pocket square to match. The renowned Hollywood star paired the outfit with sneaker-sole velvet loafers sporting his initials, “WP.”

Kevin Harrison Jr.
There’s a saying that goes, you’re not fully dressed without a smile. If the saying were a person, it’d be Kevin Harrison Jr. The renowned actor stepped onto the red carpet in an all-black ensemble. Harrison Jr. rocked a black tight-fitting turtleneck top.
In addition, he paired the top with loose-fitted black pants. Despite having no accessories, the movie star accessorized with his bright smile.
Javicia Leslie
Javicia Leslie’s look for the American Black Film Festival Honors deserves an award on its own! The actress looked absolutely stunning in a metallic jewelry ensemble, with her hair messy and bobbed out to perfection.
The singer wore a golden metallic chain-mail mesh see-through dress with nothing but her bare skin! Leslie rocked the outfit with minimalist makeup and a little knuckle ring on her finger to keep it simple.
