President Biden had a press conference last week in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House. Biden planned to clear the air about a controversial report on the ongoing probe into his possession of classified documents.
Of course, the president looked calm during the press briefing, but his words were clearly those of an angry man. In a follow-up to the press conference, Rep. Adam Smith admitted the press conference by Biden was a fail. Interestingly, Smith is a Democrat representing Washington in the House.
Biden’s outburst is the offshoot of a controversial report by Special Counsel Robert Hur. However, it is doubtful that Biden would incur any indictments for the probe into his possession of classified documents. Still, Hur mentioned in his reports that Biden did not remember his son’s death or his tenure as vice president of the USA.
Hur probably used that statement as a ploy to get Biden off the noose in the ongoing probe. However, he probably knows better by now. It is bad enough that people are already calling Biden’s advanced age and cognitive ability into question.

Investigators found the classified documents, which are the center point of Biden’s probe, at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. They also discovered some more in his Delaware home.
During the Thursday night briefing, Biden did not agree with Hur’s report, saying, “I know what the hell I’m doing.” Unfortunately, probably in a bout of anger, the president also mixed up the presidents of Egypt and Mexico during that same briefing.
Likewise, the White House has followed up with an official statement that discredits Hur’s report. In the official release, the White House “disagree(s) with a number of inaccurate and inappropriate comments in the Special Counsel’s report.”

Rep. Smith, probably sympathetic to how the Biden press briefing went, said it did not go according to plan. Smith told Newsweek that he knows what a press conference should be, and Biden’s Thursday conference did not go by the script.
In his own words, Smith said, “He was angry, he was frustrated by what came out. There was not a prepared clear agenda of, ‘Here’s my explanation, here’s what I’m doing.’ It didn’t go well. OK, there’s no doubt about that.” Nonetheless, the Washington representative defended Biden’s economic policies and how the country is gradually improving.

Biden inherited the pandemic crises from Trump; he has had a truckload of international situations to deal with and still keeps his act together. So, his supporters are using these strong points to throw out claims of opponents that the president is having dementia and that he is not fit to rule the country.
On the contrary, the recent report by President Biden’s physician, Kevin O’Connor, opines that his health is in pristine condition. Last February, O’Connor wrote of Biden, “President Biden remains a healthy, vigorous, 80-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”
