DAVID AND VICTORIA BECKHAM’S RELATIONSHIP

Since tying the knot in 1999, the lovebirds have become inseparable. Today, they have four kids between them, including Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, and Harper, 8.

When asked about the secret of their blissful relationship, Victoria Beckham, ex-Spice Girl star, revealed that they had a lot of fun together. During an interview on “The Today Show,” the mother-of-four acknowledged that in addition to being the most incredible husband ever, David was her soulmate. She concluded by saying they were lucky to have each other.

Respect and understanding were also key in their lasting marriage, coupled with an unmatched dedication to being with each other every night. Beckham also acknowledged all his wife had to say about their relationship success.

A BRIEF TIMELINE OF DAVID AND VICTORIA BECKHAM’S LOVE STORY

The pair first met at a charity football match in 1997. They began dating soon after, successfully keeping their relationship off the radar for three months. In January 1998, the two got engaged after being together for almost a year. Beckham proposed with a three-carat diamond ring and a matching one for himself. Both bands reportedly cost £200,000.

The pair went on to mark the engagement with a romantic getaway in Marbella, Spain. The media soon tagged the love pair with the nickname, Posh and Becks. This was partly because of their trend of sporting matching costumes.

The couple welcomed their first child, Brooklyn, in March 1999. In July that same year, they tied the knot at the Luttrellstown Castle in Emerald Isle. Soon after their marriage, they purchased their £7.5 million mansion dubbed Beckingham Palace. David and Victoria welcomed their son, Romeo, in 2002.

In 2004, the couple’s relationship hit a major hurdle following rumors of an affair between Victoria Beckham’s husband and Rebecca Loos, his Madrid-based assistant. The football star debunked the claims, and gratefully, Victoria stayed true to her husband until they lived past the scandal.

The Beckhams got a new addition in February 2005, with the birth of their son, Cruz. Almost six years later, they welcomed their only daughter, Harper Seven, born July 2011. Two years after his daughter’s birth, David Beckham retired from the world of football and ventured into business and entrepreneurship. He launched his whiskey brand, Haig Club, in 2014. Meanwhile, Victoria pursued her fashion career, debuting her clothing store in Dover Street, London.
