Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez’s marriage has officially come to an end!
On Tuesday, March 18, 2024, a Los Angeles Superior Court granted the 30-year-old pop star and her 28-year-old ex-husband’s divorce. Ariana Grande initiated the divorce proceedings on September 18, 2023. However, the settlement agreement took effect on Tuesday, after over six months from the divorce filing.
Court papers confirmed that the couple, who had separated in early 2023, had a prenuptial agreement. They had no children and no significant legal disputes during the separation. Consequently, the divorce proceedings moved along quickly.
Grande and Gomez filed their settlement agreement with the court in October 2023. However, due to California law, it did not go into effect until Tuesday. Under the agreement, Ariana Grande will pay her real estate broker ex a one-time payment of $1,250,000 with no future alimony.
The pop star will also give him half of the proceeds of the sale of their Los Angeles home. The settlement also stated that she would pay up to $25,000 toward his attorneys’ fees. The settlement came after sources confirmed in September that Grande had filed for divorce.

Notably, Gomez filed a response immediately after. According to court documents, the two listed the date of separation as February 20, 2023. However, news of the couple’s separation broke in July 2023. After the news became public, a source close to the couple revealed they were working through the agreement.
The source said they were “taking their time together to slowly work through the details of the agreement privately.” “They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another through every step of this process,” the source added. Calling the couple “kind and patient,” the insider insisted Ariana Grande and Gomez had “moved on.”

The former couple began dating in January 2020. They made their relationship official when they appeared together in the music video for Grande’s song with Justin Bieber, “Stuck with U” in May 2020. Afterward, they announced their engagement in December 2020 via an Instagram post.
Ariana Grande posted a photo of her ring with the caption, “Forever n then some.” The former couple married in a small, intimate ceremony at the “Thank U, Next” singer’s Montecito home in 2021. Shortly after filing for divorce in 2023, rumors surfaced that Grande was in a relationship with her “Wicked” co-star, Ethan Slater.
Slater is famous for his role in “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.” After the two started appearing together, fans began speculating about when they got together. Some claimed that Ariana Grande and Slater had gotten together while still with their respective partners.

Like the pop star, Slater filed for divorce from his then-wife, Lilly Jay, in July 2023. Ariana Grande also attended Slater’s premiere of Broadway’s “Spamalot” in New York City on November 15, 2023. “They love to support each other in their work,” a source revealed.
“When she’s done with work, Ariana loves going to the theater when she can.” The “Side to Side” singer and Slater have reportedly become “serious” in their romance. “Ariana is serious with Ethan,” the insider added. “She loves being with him.”
Furthermore, the source noted that the two have a “very normal relationship” and “mostly enjoy staying in.”
