He would lure them back to his home, trick them into being restrained, and then rape, torture, and murder them. He was a suspect in the disappearance of Robert Piest. However, it wasn’t until police searched Gacy’s home and discovered items that linked him to missing young men that his crimes were finally uncovered.

Ultimately, Gacy confessed to killing 33 boys and young men and burying their bodies under his suburban Chicago home. In March 1980, he was convicted of 33 sex-related murders and given the death penalty. He spent 14 years on Death Row, during which time he made paintings of clowns and other figures that sold for thousands of dollars. On May 10, 1994, Christine Gacy’s father was put to death by lethal injection.

Despite his seemingly normal middle-class upbringing, Gacy had an abusive alcoholic father and experienced health issues in his youth. He was also married twice and had two children. Christine Gacy Was Raised in a Broken Home

Christine Gacy, the daughter of John Wayne Gacy, was raised by her mother, Marlynn Myers. Her parents, John and Marlynn Myers, divorced in 1968 when Christine was just one year old. The divorce came after John’s arrest for sodomy, which involved two teenage boys accusing him of sexual assault. As a result, John was sentenced to 10 years at Iowa’s Anamosa State Penitentiary.

A year later, Marlynn was granted a divorce as well as full custody of Christine and her older brother Michael. Although Marlynn filed for divorce based on “cruel and inhuman treatment,” she admitted that the sodomy charge had come out of left field. She had “problems believing that [John] was homosexual.” She insisted that he had been a good father who was never violent with her or their children.

After the divorce, Michael and Christine grew up without their father. They never saw him again.

Christine Gacy Is Forced To Live in Hiding

Meanwhile, John Wayne Gacy carved his name into history as one of the most notorious serial killers in American history. He began killing in 1972 and was eventually convicted of 33 murders.
