Authorities have confirmed the arrest of a suspect who killed three of his family members in a Philadelphia suburb. However, the police didn’t catch him in the area of the crime. The suspect ran to New Jersey before the authorities finally found him.
According to police reports, the suspect, Andre Gordon Jr, is a 26-year-old father of two. At approximately 8:52 a.m. on Saturday, March 16th, Falls Township officers were dispatched to a residence on Viewpoint Lane. There, they found two victims who were fatally shot.
They were the suspect’s 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, and his 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon. According to the Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn, three other family members were in the house, including a minor. However, they managed to hide and “avoid being shot by Gordon as he went through the house searching for them,” she told reporters.
Around 9:01 a.m., Gordon shot and killed his third victim at a residence on Edgewood Lane. The victim was a 25-year-old woman, Taylor Daniel, who shared two children with him. At her residence there were four other people present in the home when Gordon arrived to kill Daniel.

These included their two kids and the victim’s mother. According to Schorn, Gordon allegedly bludgeoned her with the firearm, making her suffer non-life-threatening injuries. The children were also not harmed in any way.
While the police thought Gordon was still in this house, they tried to clear people from the neighboring buildings and set a perimeter. However, he had escaped before they could establish it.
He used a hidden back entrance and ran off into the street. After this, he stole a 2016 dark gray Honda CRV at gunpoint and fled back to Trenton. This carjacking occurred around 9:13 a.m. that same day.

He found the car’s owner in Dollar General in Morrisville and threatened them to hand over the vehicle. He then drove this car back to Trenton and abandoned it. Around 11:38 a.m., Falls Township police recovered the car unoccupied where he left it.
The Falls Township Chief of Police, Nelson Whitney, mentioned that Gordon committed these acts with an AR-15-style assault rifle. Around midday, authorities who thought they were in a standoff with Gordon at the first home got information that he was possibly in the street.

Therefore, they swamped the area and found him walking several blocks from the house. They arrested him without struggle or incident. In Pennsylvania, they charged Gordon with three counts of first and second-degree murder, aggravated assault, robbery, and other charges.
In addition, in New Jersey, authorities charged the suspect with first-degree carjacking and weapons offenses. The New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin made a statement concerning the frequent acts of gun violence in the area on Sunday.
“The string of violent acts … is the latest in a horrific litany of illustrations of how illegal guns and assault rifles can empower one aggrieved and disturbed actor,” Platkin said. “We will pursue justice for the victims and hold the defendant accountable for his reprehensible actions.”
