Ariana Grande Fans Slams Grammys for Singer’s 2025 Nomination Snub

Following her absence from the 2025 Grammy nominations list, fans of Ariana Grande have taken to their social media accounts to express disappointment.

In March 2024, following a 3-year break, Grande released her seventh album, “Eternal Sunshine,” to commercial success. The much-anticipated album included hits like “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).”

Despite the album’s commercial success, the Grammys did not include the album or any of the tracks in its primary categories. However, Grande was able to secure a nomination in the Best Dance Pop Recording category with “Yes, And?” 

Additionally, Grande’s album, “Eternal Sunshine,” was nominated in the Best Pop Vocal Album category. Her collaboration with Brandy and Monica on the “This Boy is Mine” remix was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The nomination for the 67th Grammy Award was announced on Friday, November 8, 2024. 

Ariana Grande Fans React to Grammys Snub

After the announcement, Ariana Grande fans came online to express their outrage after she wasn’t nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, or Song of the Year.

Taking to X, a fan wrote, “Ariana Grande, one of the few artists to almost entirely write, produce, and sing for her life on a personal, astonishingly constructed concept album, was once again snubbed.”

Similarly, another fan took to X to share their opinion about Grande’s exclusion from the primary categories. The fan wrote, “Eternal Sunshine is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year and the ONLY this year to have multiple #1 singles and still didn’t get an Album of the Year nominations; the #GRAMMYs remain rigged.”

Subsequently, another fan commented on X, saying, “Ariana Grande not getting nominated in the main categories is a joke. Eternal sunshine and we can’t be friends were snubbed #GRAMMYs.”

Despite the outrage on social media, Grande has yet to comment on the nomination. However, if such an altercation occurs, it will not be the first major misunderstanding between Grande and the award organization.

Grande’s third nomination came as a songwriter and featured artist after Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” was nominated for Album of the Year.
