According to reports, officials arrested Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Kelley, in Alabama following a roadside incident with police. Police arrested the 27-year-old and took her into Millbrook Police Department custody on Friday, April 12, 2024.
The arrest records state they booked her on charges of indecent exposure and obstructing governmental operations. Also, police have added a charge for soliciting prostitution. “She refused to comply with the officer; she wouldn’t provide any information,” a Millbrook Municipal Court representative said.
“She then yelled at the officer and when she was told she was under arrest.” The representative added that Kelley resisted the officer and sat on the roadside, refusing to cooperate further. However, officials are yet to comment on the details of indecent exposure and soliciting prostitution.
Millbrook Police Chief PK Johnson revealed that Wynonna Judd’s daughter was holding a sign on the side of the road. According to Johnson, the sign read, “A ride for a ride.” Furthermore, she reportedly argued with officers “that it was not illegal for her to offer herself in exchange for rides.”

After officials told Wynonna Judd’s daughter to move on, Johnson said they found her inside a gas station causing a “disturbance.” They also found her again at a highway intersection “still displaying the signage.” “She was not appropriately dressed. She didn’t have the things covered that needed to be covered,” the police chief said.
“And she was holding the ‘Ride for a Ride’ sign while in that state and with drivers going by, displaying herself.” According to court documents, Wynonna Judd’s daughter exposed her breasts and lower body at a busy intersection.

As of Friday morning, she is still in custody with a $2,000 bond. Notably, this is not Grace Kelley’s first arrest. Kelley, the youngest child of Judd and her first husband, Arch Kelley Ill, has a history of arrests dating back to 2016. During a 2020 appearance on “The Pursuit! With John Rich,” Judd opened up about her daughter’s legal troubles.
“I’m no different than anyone else. I’ve got kids who have made great, successful choices,” the country singer said. “I have just as much to say about the testimony – emphasis on the word ‘test’ — of both my children saying, Wow, that didn’t work.”
“I will tell you this. My daughter is the strongest Judd woman in our ‘herstory,'” Judd added. “She’s healthier than I was at 23.” “How she got there—I would not go that way,” Judd continued. “I was on a bus with my mother (so it was) kind of hard to get in trouble.”

Furthermore, the singer said her daughter’s path could have been hers if she didn’t pursue music. Judd raised her granddaughter Kaliyah, born in March 2022, during Kelley’s time in prison. At the same time, she was grieving the loss of her mother, Naomi Judd, who died by suicide in April 2022.
“She gives me hope,” Judd said during an appearance on the “Today” show in October 2022. “They give you hope and something to think about other than yourself.” She added, “Because so much of what we do is about us, so it’s nice to be with her because she doesn’t care what I look like.”
