After the success of “Wonka” and the “Dune” movies, Warner Bros. is continuing its partnership with Timothée Chalamet. The actor signed a first-look deal with the studio to collaborate on future projects as both an actor and producer, announced Warner Bros. on Tuesday.
However, this deal doesn’t restrict Chalamet from working on projects outside Warner Bros. It simply grants the studio the right of first refusal. While the specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed, it is described as a “multi-year” deal.
In a statement, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group co-chairs and CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy expressed their admiration for Timothée Chalamet’s “commitment to his craft” and “unwavering dedication to giving 100% of his time and attention to every project he has made.”
Chalamet, in response, stated, “These are studio heads who believe in real movie making, and I’m so grateful for their support as an actor, producer, and collaborator. This partnership feels like a natural next step. Let’s go!”

The 28-year-old recently achieved a rare feat by being the first star in over four decades to feature in two top-grossing films released within eight months of each other.
“Dune: Part Two” earned a total of $575.5 million at the box office, while “Wonka” earned over $632 million globally. John Travolta, with “Grease” and “Saturday Night Fever,” was the previous record holder for this achievement.
Chalamet also produced Luca Guadagnino’s “Bones and All.” He is set to produce and star in the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown,” which is currently in production.

On Tuesday, director James Mangold unveiled the first official snapshot of Chalamet portraying Dylan. The image depicts the actor strolling along the street, passing Manhattan’s Hotel Chelsea.
Mangold’s photo, the inaugural official picture from the set of “A Complete Unknown,” follows paparazzi snapshots that previously unveiled Chalamet as the young Dylan. Mangold shared the image on his personal X account, providing details about its specifications and the camera model used for capturing it.
The caption read: “Photo by JM w/Leica SL3 Summicron-SL APO 50mm 2.8 1/160 ISO 12500.”
Written by Mangold and Jay Cocks, “A Complete Unknown” explores Dylan’s early career. It follows the 19-year-old Minnesotan as he moves to New York City to pursue music in the early 1960s.

The film depicts Dylan’s swift rise from performing in bar back rooms to concert halls. It centers on Dylan’s iconic electric rock performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
“A Complete Unknown” features a star-studded cast portraying legendary figures from the ’60s music scene. Monica Barbaro takes on the role of folk icon and activist Joan Baez.
Boyd Holbrook portrays country superstar Johnny Cash. Edward Norton embodies folk singer Pete Seeger. Elle Fanning plays Dylan’s love interest and the artist and college student Sylvie Russo. The producing team includes Chalamet, Alex Heineman, Peter Jaysen, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, and even Jeff Rosen, Dylan’s longtime representative.
