Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, two stars of the iconic film The Devil Wears Prada, shared a special moment with their co-star, Meryl Streep, at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. The trio’s reunion brought nostalgia to the crowd and fans of the beloved 2006 film.
The Devil Wears Prada was a movie directed by David Frankel and inspired by a book by Lauren Weisberger. The movie’s main focus was the relationship between Miranda Priestly, the formidable boss of a high fashion magazine (played by Meryl Streep), and her assistant, Andy Sachs (played by Anne Hathaway). Emily Blunt played the role of Emily Charlton, Miranda’s fashionable, witty first assistant.
The SAG Awards are famous for awarding great performances in movies and TV shows. Fans always get excited to see well-known actors and actresses strut the red carpet, hoping they’ll see their favorite stars reunite.
The trio came together to present the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. Blunt was also a nominee at the ceremony for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer.”

Emily Blunt stunned in a bold red Louis Vuitton gown with a plunging neckline. She paired it with a gorgeous gold and diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co., diamond earrings, and gold cuffs. Anne Hathaway opted for a blue Atelier Versace gown with a plunging neckline and a built-in belt at the waist.
Meryl Streep went on stage first and humorously addressed the audience. Then she revealed that she had forgotten her glasses and the envelope containing the winner’s name. Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt then appeared on stage to assist Streep, playfully echoing their roles as her assistants in “The Devil Wears Prada.”

During their speech, the three actors used famous lines from the movie. Fans online also noticed that Anne Hathaway’s dress wasn’t just blue — it was “cerulean,” just like in the film. “Meryl and Miranda Priestly are sort of like twins,” Blunt said, but Streep disagreed with the comparison.
“No, no. That wasn’t a question,” Hathaway said to Streep. She was playfully referencing one of Miranda’s most icy lines from the film. The SAG Awards were the first big public reunion for Hathaway, Streep, and Blunt. However, Hathaway and Blunt had already reunited for Variety’s “Actors on Actors” series last year.

“I was so green coming into that situation,” Blunt told Hathaway during the discussion on stage. “And you were like the warmest embrace. Even though you were a colossal movie star then, you treated me like a complete equal. You are one of the people I’ve known the longest. We’ve known each other for 18 years.”
The beautiful cast is doubtful there will be a sequel to the movie. “I don’t know if there can be,” Hathaway said. “I just think that movie was in a different era. Everything has gone so digital, and that movie centered around producing a physical thing. It’s just very different now.”
However, I’m excited that “The Devil Wears Prada” is being adapted into a stage musical.
