Zendaya is paying tribute to Cher — and a famous 2001 Bob Mackie collection!
The “Dune” actress, 28, arrived on the red carpet for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, October 19, at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
Zendaya did not just wear any designer outfit. Her skin-baring outfit, which included a white satin coat and a glittering gold bodysuit embellished with beads, was vintage and from Bob Mackie’s 2001 Fall Fashion line.
The actress’s long-time stylist and colleague, Law Roach, confirmed this. Choosing a Bob Mackie style seems to be a homage to Cher. The “Believe” singer has worn the designer’s looks for decades, dating back to 1967 when Mackie first dressed her for The Carol Burnett Show. Cher is among the musicians inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
As is tradition, no Zendaya ensemble is complete without a pair of sky-high Christian Louboutins—specifically, a gold metallic pointy-toe. Of course, a Cher-inspired look must have long, stick-straight hair. Zendaya completed the ensemble with a stack of gold bangles.

Zendaya attended her first Met Gala at 18. During an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Mark” on Tuesday, April 23, the 27-year-old actress said that, despite all of the glitter, she was a bundle of anxiety.
She told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos that it was an exciting and new experience but also terrifying. She described the daunting feeling of going up the steps. Despite her anxieties, Zendaya looked stunning in Fausto Puglisi’s black and red gown at her first Met Gala in 2015.
The mini dress had a plunging neckline, an ultra-flared skirt, and a matching long train embellished with suns. She accessorized with spiky gold jewelry and an artistic headpiece.

Zendaya’s 2024 MET Gala
Zendaya makes a beautiful return to the Met Gala red carpet after a five-year absence. She co-chaired alongside Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
She stunned everyone with two dramatic looks. Her first look was a custom Maison Margiela gown inspired by John Galliano’s spring 1999 couture collection, which included a mermaid-style skirt and floral details.
She donned a vintage black Givenchy ball gown from 1996, complete with a stunning floral headpiece for her second look.
