Soulja Boy lately expressed some harsh comments about Drake. This was said in reference to the rapper’s recent feud with Kendrick Lamar. On Tuesday, July 16, Soulja Boy posted a quick message tagging Drake’s handle on X, which was previously known as Twitter.
DeAndre Cortez Way (born July 28, 1990), better known as Soulja Boy (previously Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em), is a US rapper as well as music producer from Atlanta, Georgia. He gained popularity following his self-published 2007 first hit, “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” spent a full seven weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.
Soulja Boy’s Remarks
“You disappointed me. @Drake,” Soulja wrote. In a follow-up statement, the rapper clarified his feelings further. “Doing all them weak a** songs with them n****z look where It got u none of them n****z you collab with or took on tour had yo back @Drake,” the rapper added.
Soulja’s compliments for Drake elicited a flood of responses on what he said on X. One person appeared to agree with the rapper’s views, claiming Drake had lost the rap fight with Kendrick Lamar. While another simply responded to Soulja Boy’s apparent need to express himself. Another commenter noticed Soulja Boy’s imminent album release on July 28.

Drake Yet to Respond to Soulja Boy
Drake has yet to officially respond to Soulja’s tweets. The current dispute began involving three of hip-hop’s top performers, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J Cole, all sparked by a supposedly innocent tune applauding their individual accomplishments. Cole withdrew from the melee as tensions rose.
However, Drake and Kendrick continue to fight with growing fervor, leveling life-altering charges at one another in a flurry of tracks. The verbal conflict has subsided for the time being, but the silence is unnerving. Will either celebrity have the ability to walk away? Whatever transpires, the rivalry has helped the industry.

Drake and Kendrick Lamar
Whereas the dilemma of “who won” remains unanswered, Billboard magazine says that streaming of Lamar’s back repertoire has climbed by 49%, while Drake’s have fallen 5%. Lamar’s pop-oriented Not Like Us, which features a possibly libelous hook, has also been a club success, with 21 million streaming in the first three days of availability.
Additionally, there are numerous other conspiracy theories circulating, the most prominent of which is that Universal Music intervened to end the rivalry. However, TMZ reports that this is not accurate. In the meantime, there are indications that some listeners have become weary of the incessant back and forth.
