The year is 2023, and celebrities have emerged from social media platforms, including Instagram and, much more recently, TikTok. Kylie Strickland was one of the upcoming TikTok influencers before she made a mistake that got her not only canceled on the streets of the Internet but also jailed.
So what did Strickland do that made her fall on the wrong side of the law?
Who Is Kylie Strickland?
Kylie Strickland is a former social media influencer born on October 18, 1991, in LaGrange, Georgia. She is 32 years old at the time of this writing.
Strickland rose to fame on streaming giant TikTok by creating content like lip-sync videos, comedy sketches, and lifestyle posts. One of her most watched videos on TikTok features her Great Dane.
The former influencer was raised in Georgia with her parents and siblings. Not much is known about her family background, as she rarely commented on it in her videos.
Why Was Kylie Strickland Arrested?
Pike County Police officers arrested Kylie Strickland after her video went viral on TikTok on June 28, 2022. Strickland got people talking after a clip that saw her allegedly lift her top and expose herself to two adolescent boys in a swimming pool started trending online.
In the video, Strickland asked the kids, “You want to see titties t*****s? Bottles up!” The footage aired on a live stream from her account. The exact age of the boys was not disclosed.
Not long after, Georgia law enforcement issued a warrant for her arrest. Pike County Sheriff’s Office cited electronic pornography and child exploitation as the reasons for her detainment.
Legal documents from the police claimed: “Strickland was reported to have been at a residence in Pike County when she purposefully provocatively exposed her breasts to two minor children while streaming live on social media.”
“Investigators were able to work in conjunction with Troup County Sheriff’s Office personnel after this case had originally been reported to that agency.”
The Troup County Police Department also contributed to the reports. They said: “Our investigators have spoken with Pike County Sheriff’s Office investigators and will continue to work with them for any information they require from our team.”
The Troup County Police Department was the first to see the video. They tracked the location down and then handed it over to Pike County Sheriff’s Department since it happened under their jurisdiction.
A statement they shared at the time reads, “While we understand the emotions that this video caused, we always take our time when investigating any case, especially one originating on social media.”

She created her TikTok account in May 2020, and it has grown to over 250,000 followers with more than seven million likes on her account, which is currently set to private.
On the other hand, her Instagram page, “official.kylie.strick,” has amassed more than 62.3k followers. It is also set to private. Strickland has four children, often featured on her official Instagram account.
Was Kylie Strickland Released?
According to different sources, Kylie Strickland will remain in police custody until her bond hearing. After the incident, just before her detainment, Strickland told her side of the story.
In a since-deleted video posted on TikTok and Instagram, she said: “It’s not my responsibility to parent someone else’s child. Those little boys have seen more boobs than I have seen my entire life.”
Strickland also alleged that the boys had been taking tequila before she arrived at the pool that night. Later, alleged text messages between Strickland and the father of one of the boys in question leaked online.
Their conversation showed that the father was not upset about what happened. He told Strickland: “Nah, you good. Someone done got mad they had to pay to see them, and the boys didn’t.”
Strickland had replied: “I figured you didn’t care, but just wanted to make sure. Probably shouldn’t have done it. So that’s my fault, but I just wanted to make sure y’all wasn’t upset about it.”
The former TikTok influencer may not have meant any harm. However, she has no choice but to suffer the consequences even if one of the parents doesn’t mind.
