Trish Goff’s son, Nyima Ward, has passed away at the age of 27.

This sad news was made public by RobertFunerals.com, the website that posted the obituary of the youngster. According to the obituary, the son of the supermodel and animal rights activist Trish Goff and Aaron Ward sadly passed away on May 29th, 2024. He was born on January 2nd, 1997 in Ocala, Florida and became a man that looked on his own terms.

The obituary did not state the cause of his death but noted that he lived fiercely, cherished his loved ones quite deeply and also made memories wherever he went. The statement also described the young lad as a “boy of the world” who loved to live, laugh and travel. He deeply cared for animals and was often found living with a stray animal that he had saved from the side of the road.

Whenever he wasn’t sure what to do, he usually called his mother to ask for tips to care for the stray animals. His mum, Trish Goff, is a famous supermodel who made a huge name for herself in the ‘90s after she appeared in many campaigns for top designers like Christian Dior, Chanel, and YSL.

She also did a little bit of acting before she got her real estate license in New York and went on to become the Global Advisor for Sotheby’s Realty. She also split with Aaron Ward some years after Nyima was born. Known as a lover of animals, just like her son, Goff moved to Kenya with her boyfriend, David Bonnouvrier, to work at a wildlife conservatory.

The couple decided to make this long-term and built a house close to Kenya’s Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to make their efforts easier. However, before they moved, Goff and her boyfriend tried to convince Nyima to start modeling. Bonnouvrier was the owner of DNA Models, a good modeling agency and the couple saw potential in Nyima.

He was tall and broad, with waist-length hair and a notable face. Eventually, after his eighteenth birthday, Nyima decided to give it a chance and signed with Bonnouvrier’s agency. According to an interview he did with W in 2017, he agreed to sign with the agency just to see how it would go since his mum and Bonnouvrier had been trying to sign him for a long time.

It did not take long before he landed a good number of high-profile jobs thanks to his good looks and natural skill. In just a few years, he had worked with legends of the fashion photography industry including Bruce Weber and Steven Meisel. His debut was for Anna Sui in 2015, and this was symbolic as his mum also made her runway debut for the same brand 23 years before him.

However, despite his early success, Nyima never intended to do modeling forever and did it as a side hobby. The 27-year-old would be greatly missed by his loved ones, fans, and friends in the industry who loved him dearly. Condolences have also trooped in on various social media platforms from colleagues and fans.
