A woman from Montgomery, Texas, aged 45, made a 911 call around 12:40 p.m. on Friday. She reported that she had shot someone after being kidnapped and drugged. Authorities responded to the call made by the woman.
Upon investigation, they found a deceased man at the scene. The incident occurred in Gillespie County, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
After the 911 call, authorities initially didn’t know the woman’s location. Eventually, deputies located her near a winery on East U.S. Highway 290. The woman spoke with deputies and provided details about the vehicle and weapon involved in the incident.
It’s unclear from the available information whether the woman sustained any injuries during the reported kidnapping. A deputy discovered the vehicle parked in the outside lane of westbound traffic.

Upon investigation, they found a man in the front seat area who appeared to be deceased. Officials subsequently confirmed the man’s death. The deceased individual was identified as Lance Damon Reid, aged 49.
Reid had been residing in the Houston area, as per information from the sheriff’s office. No additional details regarding Reid or the circumstances of his death were immediately available.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She was subsequently interviewed by an investigator regarding the incident. Authorities have not yet provided an update on the woman’s condition.

The girl’s body was discovered in a ditch on Tuesday, March 12, just one hour after she was reported missing. Both the victim’s family and local law enforcement are involved in the investigation.

Kaitlin’s mother, Angie Hernandez, expressed shock and anguish over her daughter’s death, describing it as a cruel and senseless act. Angie pleaded for justice, emphasizing that Kaitlin did not deserve to be treated in such a manner and calling for the perpetrator to be apprehended swiftly.
