Snoop Dogg has hit back following the backlash he received after his performance at the Inauguration Ball for President Donald Trump. On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Snoop took to his Instagram page to share a video response to his inaugural performance criticism.
In the video he shared, Snoop could be seen sitting in his car, taking a hit from a blunt. The rapper said, “For all the hate, I’m going to answer with love. Get your life right; stop worrying about mine. I’m cool. I’m together. Still a Black man. Still 100% Black. All out ’til you ball out or ’til you fall out.”
Prior to his Instagram post, Snoop Dogg discussed handling performance criticism on the R&B Money Podcast on January 25, 2025. He said, “You ‘gon deal with hate when you get to the top, no matter who you are… Me, personally, I answer it with success and love. That’s my answer to any hate and negativity that comes my way, ’cause it’s the strongest force that can beat it.”

In November 2024, Snoop Dogg gave an insight into his refusal to support either party in the 2024 presidential election. On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the rapper shared an insight into the reason behind his non-endorsement, which has now gone viral.

Speaking in his video, he said, “I am not looking for separation; I am not looking for division. I am looking for people to come together. And I just wanted to say this: Did you notice how I was completely invisible during all of the excitement surrounding the voting?”
Snoop continued, “I wanted it to be like that, cause I don’t believe in separating people. I believe in bringing us together. … If you’re picking and choosing, now I gotta make people mad at me because I chose this or chose that. I don’t choose neither one.”
Snoop had clarified that he is neither a member of the Democratic nor the Republican party. By using lyrics from his 1996 song with Tupac Shakur, “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted,” he stated that he had no affiliation with any political party. According to Snoop, he stands for “the motherf***ing gangster party.”

Is Snoop Dogg a Big Fan of Trump?
While Snoop Dogg had always expressed his dislike for Trump, the rapper has admitted that his feelings have changed. Earlier in 2024, during his interview with The Sunday Times, Snoop revealed that he has had a change of heart toward Trump.
Speaking with The Sunday Times, he said, “Donald Trump? He ain’t done anything wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris.” In 2021, Trump granted clemency to Harris, a cofounder of the gangsta rap company Death Row Records. At the time of his pardon, Harris had already served 33 years in jail on drug-related offenses.
Snoop Dogg Trump Inauguration Appearance
On Friday, January 17, 2025, Snoop Dogg performed at the Inaugural Crypto Ball in Washington, D.C., with Soulja Boy and Rick Ross present. Subsequently, on Monday, January 20, 2025, the inauguration day, Nelly performed at the Liberty Ball.
Snoop Dogg’s performance has generated a lot of backlash, given the rapper’s earlier comments and history. Back in September 2018, Snoop had criticized Kanye West and other supporters of Trump. During his appearance on DJ Suss One’s SiriusXM show, Snoop got upset the DJ hinted some of his followers supported Trump.

Speaking with DJ Suss One, Snoop said, “I tell them straight up motherf———. If you like that n——, you motherf——— racist. F— you, and f— him.” Subsequently, Snoop went on to explain his hate for Trump, stating that the President had set boundaries, causing conflict among people of different backgrounds.
Snoop said, “Before him, there were no lines. Everybody was everybody; we respected everything; we didn’t trip. But n——, when you drew the line, n—— started pointing mother——— out… f—— you n——.”
Taking a shot at Kanye West for publicly supporting Trump, he said, “Kanye too, n—, don’t forget about him too,” he said. “F— him too. I’m going to throw him in the bag too because he right with them motherf———.”
